Rain! At least they say south for rain. Gone from 3-8cm to 2-5cm. You have to laugh. In the USA they talk about inches per hour falling rate. We're excited if you look out of the window and everything's white - forget depth!

Met office app is great it has predicted rain /snow in one hrs chunks going forward about 24hrs

Looking at the bbc for Chorley it doesn't really have us down for any snow now, but looking at the radar how can that be???

'But' that radar look good to me. It will stall (ish) over the sea and only very slowly push this way which is good I guess because when its over us it should hang around for a while. I'm expecting it about 8pm.

I agree. Predictive rain/snow route in the MO app doesn't really get the heavier stuff over us.

East lancs is a bit vague - where abouts are you? Most places that way have a good bit of elevation which helps.
