    Models showing more cold air for USA. It really annoys me they enjoy cold plunge after cold plunge. Red hot in Summer, Snowy in winter. If only!

    I love reading Tamara's posts. They are eloquently and beautifully written and don't include 'to' and 'too' and 'of' and 'off' grammar mistakes which numerous posters struggle with which often makes reading posts hard work. Unfortunately I have no idea whats she's talking about.

    I'm still a little confused. Why do 10 day out snow charts get taken with a pinch of salt whilst there seems to be more confidence in strat warming charts 9/10 days away?

    It's not sticking. Wet snow only. Slush on car windows. It is amazing the difference between preston and chorley.

    It's times like this i really wish I lived over 300m asl. Question 1 Will there be a good covering on Winter Hill? Question 2 Is it worth getting my 4 yr old dressed up, sledge out of the shed, track up there only to find 2inch of slush? Anyone who can see it tomoz morning stick a pic on here.

    Reading the OPI thread is as encompassing as the model forecast thread in winter. I'm terrible - now the value is down nearer 2 than the 2.4 of a few days ago I'm thinking that there is less chance of it snowing in my back yard because of a 0.4 drop of a number calculated in Italy for a theory that isn't proven. Get a grip!!!

    Right thats it - booked an hour of snow fun at the chill factor Manchester for the little one! (and me). Can't afford a ski trip so this is the only way of having a snow ball fight this year!
