  1. Well the snow is only 24hrs away and no warning so you can only assume its a non event. A few places may get a covering but I think its safe to say I'll be able to make it into work!
  2. Anyone want to guess why the MO haven't extended the Ice warning over Lancashire?
  3. Well what a fab day. Went up to Holcomb, Rawtenstall and parked up at the Shoulder of Mutton pub. 10cm of Snow on the walk under Peel tower then a pub lunch. Thought it might be a bit wet and rubbish but it was dry and fluffy. Great day!
  4. Great. Little trip up Peel Tower, Holcome then some lunch me thinks.
  5. You don't have to guess/make assumptions where the showers are just check out rain today
  6. I remember the slider 2 yrs ago that halted around Wigan even though Chorley was under an orange met office warning At least we're in the game next week. Coastal areas still prob not cold enough. I'm off to Rawtenstall for a walk tomoz anyone on here from around that area? Any snow?
  7. Yes. Greatest risk (of disruptive snow) NI and Scotland in MOGREPS too. That aside, UKMO lean towards broader snow risk essentially mid-Wales northwards. Some accumulations also likely S and E of here between Tues-Thurs. Anyway, all in line with previous assessment over past day or two, but devil still in detail. Confidence high now to mid-Tues but not thereafter. From Fergie on MOD thread! Surely that's us!!! Mid Wales north - can't fail, can it????
  8. As per usual it's not cold enough. The infamous drip, drip outside.
  9. Great post from Fergie in the MOD we're still in the game re Tuesdays slider! Come on!
  10. Welcome. Just join in all views welcome, and as a student it would be remiss of me not to point out your use of lose/loose have a check
  11. Just look at rain today. We're not due any PNN for a while.
  12. i phone met office app has predicted rain/weather for 30hrs. The showers look to be north of the county then more so for lancs etc 3am ish onwards. Two degrees colder and most showers would be snow!
  13. If people miss out over the next few days its only a short drive for most east up the M65 and there'll be plenty of snow up there. Tuesday is my big hope.
  14. There is a Met office warning for snow up north so maybe not too much of a surprise.
  15. Looking forward to the next 5 days. Wish I had a bit more elevation, however as a few have said M6 east = snow line. Chorley may be far enough east to just make it. I'm a bit lost now with the MOD thread. 24hrs ago we were in prime position for a good slider, is that still the case on Tuesday? If so we seem to be in a great position.
  16. Looking good for Monday/Tuesday http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2635167
