    Bit of lying snow now showing on the higher Edinburgh bypass cameras - Lothianburn and Dreghorn especially.

    Where would any snow round here come from because eveything I've looked at this afternoon (and I'm no expert) suggests otherwise.

    Quite a spread of temps across the Edinburgh area as Gogarbank is 3c and the airport currently 2c.

    Latest BBC forecast is pretty uninspiring for here. Snow risk for later today is pretty much gone and little more than a few flurries on Tues and Wed. Currently light rain. As usual the reality, despite the models a few days ago, has been sadly predictable.

    Edinburgh City Council must have a surplus of grit they have to get rid of given the depth of the stuff they've just dumped on the pavements here! Unreal!

    Still some flakes floating about so what ppn there is around is staying as snow so far. This mornings thin covering is fading fast. Not sure what to expect over the next few days. Models and forecasts changing all the time.

    So you did - was sure I recognised the user name :-) Thought I'd join for the regional forum. Really like TWO but the Scottish stuff is often difficult to find! Like you I've kids at the window hoping! I'm not sure we'll get much but I'd love enough for them to get out in :-)

    Nothing happening here. Few flakes swirling about but that's about it. Radar shows heavier ppn still to get here but Met Office forecast doesn't suggest much either. Next event please.
