  1. As I thought, it's picked up intensity, you can bet your bottom dollar, it'll explode once it gets to the north sea
  2. Was rather hoping for a humdinger, 2nd time today it's not quite worked out, I had a job to Brighton earlier, and was expecting biblical rain, but nothing out of ordinary then.
  3. Got some heavy thundery rain, a few flashes, and some distant thunder so far, a bit disappointed if I'm honest, but nothing I can do about that
  4. What an mcs that was, I had to lay on the kids trampoline, as trees and things were being uprooted etc.
  5. Got to admit, I was expecting things to start happening by now, not much activity going on, think I'll give it another hour or so, then I'll give up lol
  6. Can see this going the same way as 99% of the storms, out to north sea
  7. Called a Kent clipper this morning lol, I live nr camber sands, the amount of times I've sat on the sea wall at Jury's gap, and watched it waste away in the channel, then out to north sea is unreal
  8. Been to florida twice, seen plenty of storms over there, once, when I was staying at Disney, we had a severe thunderstorm warning, never seen, or heard anything like it, I was outside, undercover, the rain was biblical, the lightning was like something I'd never seen, and the thunder, constant booms like cannons. Fantastic, then on the 2nd trip, we were at universal, when another severe thunderstorm hit, that was daytime, the structure was amazing, witnessed a beautiful rfd, but sadly no tornado.
  9. I have it here as well, I'm a few miles east of Hastings, I work in Rye, very often Rye and camber are sunny, yet 8-9 miles inland, where I live, will be heavy rain, and low cloud, does make for some interesting weather scapes
  10. My playing days are over, but I used to love it when it was wet, I could get away with wiping someone out, with a slide tackle, blaming it on the conditions. Nothing better than a midfield battle in the rain, coming off looking like a pig in sh>t lol. Happy days indeed
  11. Think I'll miss out on the action again today, I'm always too far south, East north or west lol
  12. Had very high hopes for this afternoon here, after last night's showing, the rain is very much welcome, but I was hoping for fireworks
  13. Some very interesting clouds to look at, not sure if that's the cell south of London, or the one further north. The little orange dot, on the netweather rader screenshot, is my location. Hope everyone is OK.
  14. Quite a contrasting day, miserable this morning, and lovely this afternoon, sure felt good driving about, with the windows open
  15. Certainly had some rain this week, and last night's heavy rain was surprising, it's still raining now, be nice to have some warmer days etc
  16. A smattering on the ground, that's putting it mildly. Still, I wasn't expecting anything
