  6. Well us lot in Lincolnshire eventually got our storm last night at about 10pm. which then proceeded to carry on till well god knows what time cos the leccie went out, I think it was about 1am before it all eventually passed away. Me and the boys went into the farmers crop field with Video cameras and hopefuly have got some good footage. We watched the storm approaching from 20 miles away, some fantastic CC's and many many CG's. We were quite close (but not that close!!!) to the HUGE radio ariels on the base and at one point it was struck while we were filming, all 3 of us hit the deck and I will have to put in BBC Bleeps on the footage. Very Loud crack as it hit almost deafening. I think the boys (9 and 10) now appreciate how powerfull and dangerous thunder storms are, but also how stunningly exciting they are too. My first storm this season and not a bad one either. so lets have some more when we move to the Cotswolds please.

Fantastic Photo of what I hope is a Lenticular cloud over the mountains near Loch Carron. There were other smaller ones but this one was the best.
  12. well we had heavy snow for 3 hours solid, accumilating to about 3 inches. The temperature is now rising to 1.1c and it has already started to melt. Its a bit of a pain actually because it doesn't stay on the ground longer than a few hours. Still we shouldn't complain, apparantly more is due later. oh joy
  13. OMG We have snow and lots of it and its very heavy. I actually didn't expect this Current temps 0.3c 998 mb
  14. light rain here in south Lincolnshire, pretty dismal actually. It doesn't feel very cold not like yesterday when the wind was frezzing in jeans. Temp 3.2c and rising 1001mb
  15. After this winters record lows of -5c last night it stoill doesn't feel much warmer at 4c now. just started to get snow flurries in the last 15 mins. Shouldn't think it will amount to much though.
  16. Hi guys, we had a stunning morning here but about 2pm the shies clouded over and it got really cold about 3c. We have had very fine snow ever since but its not accumilating at all. Just pretty to watch.
  17. for some very odd reason it is snowing very lightly here, we had a heavy hail shower about 45 mins ago. I cannot see anything on the radar and am very confused. Mayby the weather is taking pity on me for snowing constantly for 7 hours today and not one bit of it sticking
  18. Morning all, was expecting a lot of snow last night but it didnt happen. However it is snowing heavily now. current temp. 0.7c Snow is wet, sticking to grass but not paths.
  19. OK here in South Lincolnshire we have had light snow for about 30 mins ( a record for the last 3 days!!) however I think the beast has arrived and we now have big, fat, fluffy flakes and lots of them. Me thinks this could be in for the night.
  20. It has just started to blizzard here, wind howling snow horizontal.
  21. since my last post we have had 4 heavy snow showers here so far today. I wonder what the night will bring update, it has just started to snow as I type.
  22. We seem to have missed two rather large showers that went to the South west of us however over the last 15 minutes it has clouded over completely and we now have moderate to heavy snow.
