    Morning All. :)Many of them historic April snow storms occurred during the 17th/18th Century. We need Krakatoa and many dormant volcanoes to wake up not forgetting a little ice age (not much to ask) We are overdue a proper Ice Age, humanity's infulence has put it on hold. We do good for storms in the UK especially the South East. You can almost be certain of a good storm, the summer heat usually is the spark Last years storms was Epic! The vivid blue/purple CG Lightning was what I call a proper firework display ^ From last year June, not my own. But I'll be looking out this year.

    Blizzards on the summit of Ben Nevis perhaps Back to lightning, how can you possibly respect lightning, you can take precautions by not sheltering under Trees and so on. My Uncle got struck by lighting quite some time ago totally out the blue, fortunately he had a lucky escape. Lightning is a hazard to human health, basically a form of high voltage electricity. It is a nuisance when out and about, when inside and snug in your home it's a different story. I find the UK climate dull, we lack extreme weather like in the States. Which is more good then bad, but does increase the desire for something explosive to happen

    20c failed to materialize, 10.6c with cold rain. Not great - And the storms swanned off, To the continent per usual. Another dismal display from the weather gods, this country is riddled with average weather Horrid day ahh it was looking so good... Just persistent rain and thick cloud; seen better. Gardeners be warned âš ï¸ very cold minima from the GFS

    I totally understand that, we have a garden not the prettiest sight, we have a grape vine. It always bears fruit every year, small sour black grapes. It is edible not much can be said apart from that. There is something rewarding about not having something with your mark on it. It has started budding so we do not need any frost either. I just wanted to add my perspective, it's not all doom & gloom Not sure if this is a Old Wife's' Tale but a light frost can make fruit sweeter?

    Potent cell just departed from Normandy, Crossing the channel. Binoculars at the ready! It it survives IOW is a good bet, nothing new there.

    lol I must be drunk, just hit the post button, not intentionally. I did thought the reply yesterday was odd, no harm caused all these edits are puzzling there is a potent cell Normandy way, will it survive the crossing.... SW peeps watch out!

    Aternoon, today felt like the warmest day of the year 18c - still not reached 20c. Fairly unusual. This frost malarkey is largely OTT... Yes if will get chilly. But below freezing is out the question, except from north of the border, a light frost does no disaster? Farmers have GM crops which are resistant to frosts. Cooler nights will be a relief, I've been sweltering in my bed. People are by no means searching for cold, the reality is the charts show this, accept it and move on. Tomorrow looks promising for something to "kick off" âš¡ï¸âš¡ï¸âš¡ï¸ As Steve C alluded CAPE is decent over SE/EA ^

    They have been in abundance due to the great quality posts, I'm not easily pleased. This weather malarky is like a profession to some I love the passion . Concerning the change, at first i was inclined that the implementation was a punishment. I do think the idea originated from the MOD thread - as we know it can get spicy in there. I have come to terms with the change. What Bothers me is that you need to have the hassle of checking someone's profile to see if they've been online. Some just skim through, and are too busy to post. Also there may be people that have grudges with you, but there is no way to identify. Fortunately you can't find out unless there is a bust up on this thread, which i hugely doubt

    Hey all, I wouldn't disregard some late season snow. Those with moderate elevation could get lucky? With charts like this... Low chance of verifying but it has been a consistent theme from the ECM.

    Evening All. I think I've run out of likes Not nice out there, overcast and dismal bluhh :o Rather warm 12.8c the mildness marches on - blimey the week goes incredibly fast. Slow down âš ï¸ Have a nice evening... BB nice footage. Brings back pleasant memories.

    How strange i posted a post and it's no where to be seen? The clouds appeard ominous, but produced nought. Looking foward to Friday evening - another mild murky day in south east london. Unbelievably IMHO a Atlantic onslaught would be welcome, a refreshing westerly airflow would be just the right tonic. Each to their own.

    We had a near direct hit, the rain was biblical it's amazing how much a few miles can do not that happy about the Charlton results but props to them, being 2 nil down and then going ahead takes some doing. It is incredibly tight down the bottom of the table. On to the weather it looks moist out there... It is very humid just the right, ingredients for a cracking storm.

    Evening All. We had a almighty storm in the morning, really hammered down no thunder though. The humidity was a tad too much, it felt very warm in the sunshine, at least i got a top up of vitamin D - as I post this the skies are darkening, wonder how things will develop into the Evening. Edit: the mass of PPN has arrived

    Hey all, not been posting due to the dire internet. Hope you're all fine and well. I've been reading back, and noticed there has been some division; which I thought was water under the bridge. The regulars give a damn good example, and this is hard to follow. When I first made my entrance, I was a little intimidated i must be honest. Many of you have got a strong reputation, starting with nothing is not so easy. Like the first day of Secondary School almost bizarrely. Whoever you are, you're always welcome on this thread. I made the plunge it took just over a year, sometimes you just have to go for it, and see what happens, I'm glad to report that it was thoroughly the right thing to do. Regardless of the recent drama this is forum full of people after all, this things happen - just focus on the good that you are doing.

    Afternoon We could do with some rain, I watered the garden vigorously as the ground was quite firm & dry. Frosts are certainly not unheard of in April as we approach early May, the threat diminishes. Have a splendid day

    Overnight is forecasted to be even more chillier then yesterday, quite cold for April standards. Below freezing in frost prone areas away from towns and cities. Once the sun makes a appearance it will warm up nicely. Chilly nights followed by pleasant spring sunshine, is on the agenda. Perfect Spring weather. Hope your all having a nice evening forumites :-)

    I can't bear to watch them snowy scenes, it just prolongs the agony of this empty winter. I guess we were fortunate, but I would love to experience another winter like that, never seen the capital so snowy, it caused gridlock but blimey it was a sight to behold.     Evening - Tonight marks my 100th Post I've only been active on this forum for barely a month, but I feel like I have integrated well this is due to your friendliness, unprecedented on most forums, where trolls are primarily on the headline, this is a special place full of wonderful people. It is rather complexing to get my head that I've made 100 posts probably a lot of gibberish.. But it has been truely a pleasure to be part of this big community, as we approach the summer my posts may slip down, however I'm a all year person. I believe the people come first and the weather second, cheers you'll all have to contend with me, I might get a little dazzled by the S word but I'll try my best.

    Morning Hope you all had a nice day, enjoy today and whatever it will bring I've been unwell in recent times, but I think I'm recovering albeit slowly, I sincerely hope that Tam is in good health she has been going through troubled waters. And I pray that she is fine and well. A rather chilly night 8.3c and Easter period is not looking chirpy, but life goes on.

    Afternoon what a lovely day it is, blues skies, scattered white cloud and the warming yellow sun Great concoction, at this time Easter time is not looking promising, could be unsettled. But we need all the rain we can get... If it was not for the wettest winter in 250 years, we would be approaching drought state. March was very dry here. And that theme is set to stay. 15.5c pleasant outside.
