  1. 3.6c snow reports starting to pop up.. I think today's snow chances have been underplayed, I've seen a few icy bits mixed in the rain, and its only 4pm. In london Much to play for - btw CK its all too late, we are destined for relegation, we've bought too many players and they've failed to gel together. I hope we keep Ian Holloway he is a top class manager, i don't think we will though. Horrid day, there's nothing like being in a warm house
  2. Terrible result, im not a happy man tonight - League 1 is inevitable bottom of the table, disgraceful! We play some good football, however its all about capitalizing on your chances, unfortuantely we're no good at that. Onto the weather its dry & cold 3.3c and I think there is a strong possibilty for wet snow in the SE/EA an increased risk for those further north and away from the coast, especially those with slight elevation tomorrow night is all out or nothing, let's see how this plays out will watch in interest, goodnight safe dreams
  3. Afternoon I must say today felt very cold - due to the windchill. It may have registered 10c but felt close to freezing. Been a cloud fest sort of day a thick layer of grey murky cloud, it was wet old morning, not that heavy, but noticeable. There is potential tommorow for some dare I say it snow - this will mostly be reserved for the highest hills - chilterns may get something. The sun is trying to make an appearance - temp 7.6c chilly, have a nice evening
  4. It does indeed, watched it on the news and noticed where it was immediately, it was pretty lucky there was no fatalities. Cheers for the dialogue - but we cannot dominate the whole regional thread - There are some nice little places, you just have to look for them. 5.5C here definitely not mild but not particulary cold all the same, night folks
  5. Last year in April we got snow showers, none of which settled. Well most places have their nice places, even rough boroughs. Sadly what features the news is mass shootings, drug raids ect; nothing of which that gives south london a good reputation. If you have some time come along to Rotherhithe there are a few nice parks such as Southwark Park or if you perfer something more quaint try Russia Dock Woodland, nice retreat from the urbanized city and Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, is a good place to shop. There was a big crash today in Bermondsey caused gridlock on the roads, fortunately no deaths.http://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/five-people-hurt-after-police-van-catapults-over-car-in-bermondsey-9212653.html
  6. Well where I am its a little suburban unusual for central London. No towering buildings here. All houses round here are relatively new, and there are many open green spaces. There are some nice little places, round here. I feel for the SE in general, it is best to look for warmth now it bewilders me that some are looking for cold, which won't deliver the goodsGreat day of sun - cooled down substantially 4.5c and promises to be another cold affair Lovely to here Tam, is all fine and well. These things do get on your mind.
  7. Coldest night of the winter/spring got down to -2.3c I feel for those in the Chilterns with that elevation your almost guaranteed to get a few cm of snows, this has not been the case this winter. Me being in London I have slightly lower expectations, Perhaps next winter will be a snow fest i made my appearance too late It has certainly been a cool day especially when in the shade. Btw concerning Tamara, she sent me this via pm on the 19th of March. Hi Daniel Thanks for the message - I've been away for the last couple of days. It's been a struggle, but hopefully things will be fine Tams Hope she is alright, she is treasured on this forum not the same without her imho.
  8. Nighty night all make sure you shelter your plants from the freezing temps; a hard frost can do some damage. weather report: cold and clear - 2.1c a rare air frost looms
  9. Good Evening All PP I hope your "pigs" are alright and they recover promptly, been a magnificent day of cloudscapes. We have been fortunate to get going so early in the season, a sign of things to come? who knows, a cold night beckons already down at 4.5C will be intrigued how low it will go, it has been rare this winter now (spring) to have gone into negative digits. Most of the action today was just towards the east, just glancing past. Essex done well according to the radar. Have a nice Monday, even though it is monday - its good to get out and about. Now 3.4C I thought all the ppn would have died out by now .. Intresting it bodes well for a mix of rain/sleet/snow if it hits here.
  10. Morning 1.0C here, the time when temp plays ball there is not PPN There looks to be a blob of sleet/freezing Rain around the Solent, can anyone confirm? Back to bed, was just checking if I missed out on anything.
  11. Im exhausted, night all - stunning photo's yet again, feels like I've stumbled into The National Gallery It really brightens my day, so a special thank you to those that make the effort to add some visual beauty to the forum a cold 3.7c here - any ppn could turn wintery as we progress through the night, as Mr Pike alluded.
  12. Hey welcome to the Forum Liam :good:Yes looked mightily impressive, the quick transition was spectacular. I reckon there was some turbulence, the milk has probaly turned to butter up there, i do love how things can abruptly change and change the whole ambience.
  13. Good afternoon I made best of the weather so I took a few photo's Have a lovely day I was in the car at the time, the dirty windows give a nice effect
  14. Hey all - little quiet in here tonight Looks to be a cold week indicated from the above looks like a cold pool has developed over us.. Usually its residing to our west, you couldn't make it up.. Its all to late to amount to anything. 6.9C the windows are not open tonight thermals and hot chocolate at the ready
  15. Looks like a hail shaft, im a bit of a novice the more experienced will clarify.
  16. The English have invaded lassie hope you get your snow fix - I wish I could join you, but who has the time to go all the way up north scotland is such a beautiful country, would love to go to the Cairngorms such a tranquil place. I doubt me in london, will get nothing more then cold rain - once the snow sets in, this thread will burst into life! (Possibly)
  17. I reckon you lot will do well; with colder uppers incoming I'm sure snow will be on the agenda Goodluck!
  18. Good afternoon all Happy Birthday Luke - Hope you had a great one Have a fabulous weekend everyone, make the best of what the region has to offer. 9.9c and it does feel a little chilly in the nagging wind Edit: 8.3c and falling a sure sign of them colder uppers filtering through
  19. Thanks for the constant simplified updates, much appreciated John I thought there was potential for some wintriness, I got shot down, but I may have the last laugh - if only we was in January im sure snow would have been the overwhelming signal On to the weather, it was a windy day, never expected it, there were some large gusts it lightened up in the afternoon, and felt rather nice. I've had some troubles with my arm, i foolishly stumbled and caught my arm on the wardrobe, it stings although its definitely not broken. I've broken all sorts. Looking foward to the frosty nights - and maybe some wintery precipitation
  20. This is my first time I'm going for 7.8c I reckon there are going to be some chilly interludes - snow on the highest hills/mountains. above average rainfall may be on the cards, time will tell.
  21. Rotherhithe, This is a jewel which tells you all about my area past and future ---> http://londondocklands.wordpress.com/tag/rotherhithe/
  22. Cheer for that "lesson" in essence the waters (Atlantic Ocean) are part of the Gulf Stream - if there was land where the Atlantic was then it would be significantly colder - its a love/hate partnership. I would like it to be cold & snowy although it would dent our economy, and then we would all get tired and demand for cheaper electricity.I would love to experience true cold -20C being in london we're lucky to get down to -5c little pathetic.
