  1. I am in Farnborough and its still pretty light. It looks like this streamer has our name on it perhaps
  2. You are right a lot can change. On friday I was expecting 4 ice days and 5+cm of snow. Reality - 1 ice day and a dusting
  3. Agreed. I was looking forward to 4 ice days and was prepared for very little snow so am fine with that but really didn’t expect to be observing water today. Now it’s looking like 2 ice days and no snow
  4. You have been saying that for days now. I don’t think you will end up with nothing. Am hopeful for 2cm or do here in Farnborough
  5. You don’t want that. You would have to go and buy a trophy cabinet. Pup
  6. Yes, just strange they couldnt see that when writing the update each day
  7. Yes, me too. all this "fronts not expected to progress" and now one rund and its "becoming milder" lol. fickle eh
  8. I suppose the one thing we do know is that it will be subzero from early sunday through to thursday at least. Quite remarkable. I guess we will all see some snow at least.
  9. Only 0.5 to 1cm for most of the South on that run, but yes good for cold
  10. Yeh was just looking at that. Its -6/7 just over on the continent and a v short sea track. Thats why we love easterlies in the South
  11. Quick Q - looking at the 850's on the GFS for say Monday - I can see that they are not as low in the south as the North however the 2m temps are just as low in the south ie about -1 or -2 at 3pm. Temps you wouldnt normally expect with -8/9 uppers?
  12. A very good update but I do note it says it will "feel" cold or very cold. Thats slightly different to actually being cold. Not saying it wont be but
  13. Very good. the comment I was replying to was regarding the further outlook I believe rather than that period
  14. aah yes, I did see that the 00z was very good for prolonged with slider after slider.
  15. Am I missing something. the GFS06z has sw winds and postive 850's right up the country by next Thurs?
  16. aah I see. For balance I dont think they are anywhere near as good further South.
  17. There have been quite a few runs that have shown a true beast -15 850’s as well
  18. Yes, the op could easily swing back next run. There is some support for this easterly, but similarly support for other outcomes. We have been here many times before
  19. Yes, some really good elevation. Family member lives right at the top and often sends pictures. He can be frozen/snowed in even when Horsforth Town Centre is slushy. Lucky bugger! One day I might make the move but too far to go to footy
