    I think it is the other way about ukmo has been showing this for days it was always bringing the colder air in first 94hrs.

    Big turn of events this Morning Ukmo sticks to its guns for the last 3 days and the rest seem to be catching up we could even have snow by the weekend going by it, but next week looks really interesting we could see snow for all and ice days to boot.

    Not true we had snowfall in the middle of Dec last month at 60msl cookstown Northern Ireland and the snow lay to 3 inches and lasted 2 days on the ground if the air temperature cold enough snow will lay.

    Yea and ECM op has been on the mild side for the last couple of days the Arctic high is causing the models chaos will be a day or two before they settle on the outcome hopefully on favour..

    It seems we got to this stage yesterday then it went pear shape lets hope the ECM backs the UKMO then we can move on and its just a matter how long this cold spell will last to confirm...

    Yea it looks great some difference even at 96hrs between GFS & UKMO who is right tho.

    The low is better tilted on this run and more together not spilit should it help the Greenland high form this time??

    You forgot to mention wet also with above average rain fall for the west there is no mercy when it comes to mother nature.

    And collapse complete joke this is turning out to be high should pump right into Greenland from the Atlantic and to top it off the Arctic high should help this also but we get nothing out of both this little island is so frustrating sometimes everything has to be perfect for us to get proper prolonged cold weather. I know its one run but the trend is setting in this is going to be brief we need a big performance tonight from UKMO & ECM to turn this around and make me believe.

    I agree 100% with you Glacier point seen this coming around the 30th Dec and once again he looks to be right in my eyes he is the best on this forum, not taking away what other good posters put in but i always look for his post he was bang on for the 2010 outbreak also if i remember rightly.

    Looking good for next week lads could see proper 4 day northerly then a reload on the 10th day with a better Greenland high to boot
