Totally agree, so far today has seen much more heavy bursts of rain, where as yesterday the BBC and MO had Saturdays forecast as extreme heavy rain with flash flooding, which never happened.

Mate I just think I've got the hump like many others on here, we keep being told of extreme weather heading our way and it never happens, I wasn't expecting thunder storms today but the BBC did forecast huge amounts of rain which failed to happen, anyway I guess the gardens would do much better having steady light rain than flash flooding, gives it more time to soak in.

I've travelled between Oxford and London a number of times today and not once did I see any rain that was really heavy.

I love what you've written, i'm so glad it's not just me that's totally fed up with seeing BBC forecast maps showing flash flooding for my area and in the end nothing happens, BBC WEATHER BOSSES STOP MAKING THINGS SOUND WORSE THAN WHAT THEY ARE, PEOPLE ARE STARTING TO LOOSE TRUST IN YOU.

And we know they don't come true, flashing flooding today I gather...only flash flooding I saw was in the bath tub.

See I said earlier this morning about these so called BBC weather warnings, another failure.

Ok I can see it coming...I take it back BBC Weather men, just a tad late...er very late as I didn't plan anything this morning as the weather was looking kack.

I'm sure it was going to be raining cats and frogs here this morning....yet again the BBC have messed up, yet another over the top weather forecast from the BBC, cry wolfing again!!

I wouldn't take any notice of anything the weather men have to say weather wise, and please people don't get your hopes up, a lot of people were expecting big storms in my area and we didn't even get any rain, ok a lot of storms kicked of but in areas it was going to happen it didn't, I've lost all trust in Weather forecasts, if they report 30cm of snow it means a dusting, if they report 100mph winds it means 50mph winds, weather men stop this cry wolfing, joe public are starting to loose all trust in you and when something big really happen you won't be believed and someone will get hurt.Right rant over, please don't rip me to bits now.

Totally agree, not a drop of rain here...nothing!!! Just a waste of time getting excited about things these days, think the problem is the internet, don't get me wrong I love this site but we all get to excited about what's going to happen and then when it doesn't it's a huge disappointment, all those chart readings look wonderful but in the end in truth they never end up as good as what they did at the start, i'll be sticking to cloud watching from now on, as for the BBC and others they always make the outcome of these bad weather events look worse than they tend to be, back side covering I guess, please don't shoot me down guy/girls on here, just my thoughts.

Storms to the West, storms to the East....and still nothing in the centre, and it's been like this all bloody day, this is the second night I've stayed up and I've just about had enough now, one has got the hump.

Bright lightning just to the east of Reading, and these are brighter than the London storms I could see earlier, must be around Slough area.

Bright lightning just to the east of Reading, maybe Maidenhead way, it seems to be heading towards me in Reading which is strange as the wind is pushing these towards the north east which is the other way, either that or i'm watching this cloud going upwards.
