    Hopefully not, that's my view anyway, I hate the cold, frosts and snow look good on Christmas cards but that's it for me....keep the mild air coming!!! We could do with getting shot of the rain though, have loads of gardening to do and the ground is water logged.

    Well I had a feeling this might happen, loads on here kept saying they didn't want this storm and others hoped for a downgrade, then after the event people start moaning (and I'm not on about the person who wrote the above) it wasn't strong enough....poor weather can't win here.

    Anyone know what sort of time these winds get going here in Berkshire? And at what time they'll be at there worst? I'm driving to Bristol tomorrow and need to be there at 12 mid day, i'll be heading home (up the M4) an hour later so only a quick trip but one that must be done.

    So what sort of time would the winds start and at what time would they be at there worst, I live in Berkshire, I've also got to travel (I'm driving) to Bristol tomorrow and need to be there at 12.00 mid day, hopefully i'll only be there for an hour, then I have the drive back to sunny Berkshire along the M4.

    Ok so know one has mentioned the '87 storm yet, is this anywhere near that as the way everyone is talking you'd think so.

    Makes me laugh you lot do, when we have storms we always hear people moaning it's downgraded, just enjoy it whilst it lasts will you.

    You're right there, I know a lot of people aren't into this weather and seem only into SNOW, SNOW, And more Snow, but I for one really enjoy it, I love popping on the forum a few times a day to read all the post, i knida gives me a buzz and something to look forward to, just a shame most of the strong winds have been up North, maybe we could have some a bit further South next Santa, oh please.

    Interesting, thanks for explaining that, so if this happens what will it mean? Higher wind speeds I'm guessing, but who'd have the worse of it? North or South?
