  1. I'm pretty much bang in the centre of the red zone.
  2. Strange how some seem to say the overnight runs have the low moving in faster, therefore reducing extent of heat on Tuesday. While others say low moving in slower, therefore prolonging heat.
  3. On that chart, does that mean that in Bristol for example, it will be cooler next Tuesday, than today?
  4. So, assuming you didn't need to go out on Monday and Tuesday. What's the best plan? Stay in, doors and windows closed?
  5. Left Stansted yesterday afternoon, when it was around 30c . Currently in Cork. 18c and raining. Beautiful.
  6. I'm off work until the 21st. If those charts were anywhere close, I'd be seriously considering driving up to Inverness.
  7. I'm confused. That's easily achieved. I'd heard talk on radio /TV about a heatwave starting next Friday or Saturday. Now it seems that's when the breakdown is
  8. That's fine, but maybe they should adjust the timing of the red then? Particularly the SW one.
  9. Maybe. But I'm in the red area. Work is open tomorrow, and I'm expected to be there.
  10. I assume that's because they don't know the track , and will maybe narrow it down a bit tomorrow?
  11. Around 2pm this afternoon, it was 2c . What more do you want?
  12. I was living in Co Cork, near the coast , back in 1997 ( I think) when there was a bad windstorm on Christmas Eve. Pretty sure that got to over 100mph. We lost a load of trees, and I watched the roofs on several outbuildings get ripped off. We lost power Christmas Eve morning, got it back on the 27th. Tonight, tomorrow looks likely to be similar.
  13. Cork Kerry and now Clare, that might be the biggest red warning area I've seen.
  14. You must have come close yesterday and the day before? I'm sure it was 24c here in northants. Long sunny spells . Nice breeze. Perfect gardening weather (for me anyway)
  15. That seems to have been there for hours, but never seems to make it beyond Peterborough.
  16. I know what you mean. It can be frustrating at times. Entertainment too though . It's funnier than the Daily Express. Here, we've gone from getting over 10cm , to Virtually nothing in a very short time. Two of the worst things you can read is, 'reliable time frame', and 'nailed on'. Once you see that, it's usually game over
  17. Both the Met app, and the BBC forecast seem to have hugely reduced the amount, and duration of snowfall for the Midlands.
  18. Well , we'll soon find out. I'll be amazed if we got more than the other week.
  19. Be interesting to see if we get as much this time , as we did weekend before last. Near Kettering.
  20. For my location in northants, the met office app has two hours of rain or sleet for Saturday, the rest of the day dry. Sunday, dry all day .
