  1. @bbcsoutheast: And - The obesity epidemic in North Kent, named as the second fattest place in the country, with a third of adults overweight Would prefer to be joining in with the Domino's pizza theme....then i saw this......^^^^^^^^^^ Salad it is then :/
  2. Maybe a warning would be relevant for any snow turning to ice? And you know what the trains are like, they seem to stop running with any very minor snow fall! I'm still hoping for bucket loads to land in Kent and if it doesn't, it's been fun building up to it
  3. Morning all! My oldest let me have a lie in this morning and sorted the little monster out but said its been snowing very lightly here... Typical, I missed it! Checked my Met O app and its got lots of snow symbols for Fri and Sat. Fingers crossed they stay there because they have a habit of taking them away which is worse than not putting them there in the first place!!! Have a lovely Thursday peeps P.S thanks for all those charts John, looks like the roller coaster could be starting up again after this weekend!
  4. My rain alarm keeps going off and is showing ppn close by on the radar. I'm using the 'sticking arm outside the back door' technique but nothing falling as yet
  5. I've found a local weather station online that says temp 4.6, dew point -7.2 that sounds extreme!
  6. It sure has! Can someone please remove it this weekend!! It's not as bright here this morning but there are breaks in the cloud and I can still see some blue sky..... Im off to Croydon on Friday to visit friends, Bromley on Saturday to visit family and my daughter is off back to school in Northiam on Sunday. Id love snow but as we have a tour of the SE planned over the next few days, I'm hoping any surprises that pop up happen when we are at home!!
  7. Just wondering..... if it snows lightly for a few days over the end of the week, is it cold enough to settle and accumulate?
  8. Yep I guess that would have done it!! Doh! It's late, that's my excuse thanks for the charts and posts, I really appreciate the time you take to post them.
  9. Thanks John, I guessed it was good but didn't know how to post from another thread!!
  10. I think Fergie just ramped up snow for Saturday on the mod thread.... I could be wrong (lots of long words!) so you may need to check!!
  11. Plus when do we ever get dry weather in the UK lol! Exactly what I was thinking!! When is it ever dry? I'm still hopeful for another go on the sledge.... Oooops I mean for the kids to have another go.... Personally I love the ramp posts and think the 'glass half full' thing is always the best route to take. If nothing comes of it, we've not lost, but had a few days of excitement. It's only the weather after all
  12. Morning all, I'm currently trying to plan a week of activities to keep a hyperactive 7 year old amused..... A foot of snow to play in would have that problem sorted instantly if only the weather would oblige!! Just one thing, when I click on charts people have posted to view them (I'm using a tablet) the report button is often right below the button to close the chart after viewing it and I'm a bit concerned that I'm catching both buttons and constantly reporting people's posts!! If this is happening, please ignore it Happy Monday SE-ers
  13. Morning all, Feeling slightly delicate this morning after a fun evening out.... I feel a sofa day coming on We got home late last night to frost everywhere but it seems like a lovely sunny day here now. I've been trying to catch up on the snow prospects for next week by going through the mod thread but I'm still none the wiser!! Some saying that spring is starting and others saying possible snow for SE so I think I'll stay in here to get the updates. Happy Sunday everyone
  14. This may sound like a really stupid question but here goes anyway! Can someone explain precipitation amounts when they relate to snowfall? My apps are now showing snowfall from Weds/Thurs and going into the weekend but they seem like tiny amounts e.g 0.6 mm over a 3 hour period. If this goes on for a few days, will that amount to much?
  15. Hi Simon I'm new here too and can say that this lot in here are a lovely bunch. Looking forward to some snow next week
  16. Morning everyone, I just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear some of you are going through hard times. I've not been here long but you are some of the friendliest welcoming people I've 'met' and I sincerely wish you all the best. X
  17. Good evening all, It's been a lovely day here (after the morning showers cleared up) but feeling a bit chilly now. I've noticed a Few BOOMs and BANKs on the mod thread but have no idea what is going on other than the charts are looking good! Fingers crossed for a last chance at dusting off the sledge before Spring. When it's mentioned that the East will see snow showers, do they mean as far south as Kent or are the charts focusing more on northern eastern areas?
