  1. Thanks to everyone for continuing to report this. We're still monitoring on this side and it's picking up a lot of the issues you're reporting, so it's good to confirm that what the tests say are happening to real users. We're in dialogue with Invision about the problems, so they'll hopefully get to the bottom of it very soon. But, if not, we are edging closer to moving the community back onto our own servers again.
  2. When you say 'struggled' - did you get an error or was it just slow?
  3. I'm not seeing any issues here or on our monitoring right now @ANYWEATHER - you sure it's not your internet connection?
  4. Thanks, our monitoring didn't pick anything up, so I'm fairly hopeful it's just a small scale thing rather than a return to it being crappy.
  5. Update from @Nick F Remembrance Sunday calm before Storm Debi arrives Monday morning WWW.NETWEATHER.TV The weather will be relatively benign for Remembrance Sunday. However, a deepening low named Storm Debi will arrive across Ireland tonight before moving across N England Monday, bringing severe gales...
  6. Lol, were you eavesdropping on us last week? Is high on the list to do, so hopefully won't be more than a week or so out.
  7. Invision think that they have hopefully tracked down the thing causing all of the problems over the last few days, so hopefully the community will be a lot more stable from here on in. Also, although it's unrelated to the slow-speeds and 'temporarily unavailable' messages, those seeing the 400 error and needing to clear their cookies and cache should hopefully stop seeing that now as well. Obviously, please continue to post in here if you do spot any problems. Thanks to everyone for flagging these issues up, it's been very helpful.
  8. The problem has been resolved now, so the highlights thread is back up and running again, and those posts with enough insightful reactions will be copied over into it automatically.
  9. Due to technical issues, the model highlights thread system isn't currently working unfortunately. So, for the time being 'insightful' posts won't be copied over.
  10. Yep, is messy right now, to say the least. I think Invision are on and looking at it as I type, so with a bit of luck...
  11. Please can we keep this thread to issues around slow speeds and the forum being unavailable. If you have another type of problem, feel free to start a thread.
  12. Well this is grim - the database errors are back this evening. Invision have been informed, so hopefully it'll be sorted shortly.
  13. An update just went live on the viewer - Arome and Arpege are now available, with a handful of params to start with. We've also improved the gridded number displays, for improved performance and to tighten up the zoom on them as you zoom in, for more detail
  14. We've set up some additional monitoring of the speed and uptime of the community, which picked up the slowness and odd error overnight. So we'll be able to pass the info over to Invision as evidence of the issues if it's ongoing. That may hopefully encourage them to look a bit more closely at things.
  15. Apparently there has been a database problem over the last few days, which has now been resolved. So, hopefully things will run more smoothly now. Please continue to post in here if you see any more errors or experience slow speeds, though
  16. Clearing your cookies should solve that @noel
  17. I've put a notice up - if you've seen errors or have found the community slow on regular occasions of late, please let us know in here.
  18. That's unrelated and sounds like a corrupt cookie or similar - if you clear your cookies and cache it should it that out.
  19. We have a ticket in with Invision about this. Getting them to investigate when they don't see it happening themselves is proving a challenge unfortunately, which is very frustrating. But, we'll get to the bottom of it one way or the other - even if that means moving back to hosting the community on our own servers again, rather than using their managed service.
  20. As I said above, we're testing it for a bit. It's been switched on for 48 hours, so not enough time to gauge how it's used, gather feedback etc. For what it's worth, the sidebar is on as default on this forum software, with many communities using it without too many issues. So, although it's different to what we're used to using on here, it's tried and tested so to speak. As it stands there's no option available to allow individual users to switch it on and off, it's a global setting.
