  1. Can confirm a storm in surrey as other half sent me a picture of a huge storm which erupued in shalford/bramley hail covering everywhere and blue lightning apparently
  2. Still getting battered here too by hail/sleet/show showers. Great day!
  3. Unbelieveable we talking about possible snow this late on in the year (unusual I might be awake lamppost watching)
  4. Started cloudy here, brightened up for a while now we got milky/hazy/cloudy skies. Maybe shower threatning but very unlikely
  5. The rather chilling thing is that this is just the start of the season too....................
  6. Think some sort of squall must have just went through or something as the rain was absolutely extraordinary there for a couple of minutes
  7. Amazing really the complete contrasts compared to the start of last winter and this one. Can't remember it being this stormy in such a long long time
  8. Still a little blowy but compared to earlier it's tranquil calm now. Some storm which is not going to be forgotten anytime soon
  9. Not sure I can add to what people have already said but we been living here for 15 years and I never seen tiles been blown from the roof before! Wowie!
  10. Lovely heavy snow ongoing here in cumbernauld
  11. Not thundery but we have a pretty sharp squall running through us now. Had hail along with it
  12. Just had a small rumble here and as quick as that shower came through the sun's back out again
  13. Clouds at times here have been getting dark and winds picked up and seemed we been in for something but not a squat (They seem to have formed themselves into a proper line)
  14. STILL dry here. Showers keep forming in the wrong places all around us and not here
  15. Still dry here although for how long I wonder? Radar looks impressive all round
  16. I put it in the other thread. I was walking dogs at half 9 last night and I saw thw most amazing intercloud (as I was told it was) lightning display. There was something near Glasgow at the time apparently. Some of th flashes in that cloud was absolutely amazing
  17. Getting cloudier here now but sun still out. Not quite the thundery showers that we're forecast (and I do expect the main beasties in ireland and wales to lose their oomph as they keep pushing in whatever direction they heading in) Anything like that lightning display last night would be amazing
  18. Even though we haven'thad many storms here in my area? I have been treated to some real crackers ligtning wise in the distance and what I saw earlier seriously did top it off for me. Wish I had taken my camera out. Didn't expect to see that though
  19. Never saw that kind of lightning before. That whole entire cloud was seriously lighting up. I was just looking there in awe.
  20. Hope somebody can explain the phenonenom I saw earlier. Half 9 I was out walking the dogs with mum. The sky was getting dark and was mostly clear........however I looked towards the west and I saw this big cloud. I could actually see lightning within that cloud! There was nothing to indicate on radar that there was any thunderstorms around. Some of the lightning in that cloud was absolutely spectacular.
  21. Have had another shower. Was fairly short and could have been a rumble before it unloaded but wasn't that heavy and didn't last too long (sun's back out now)
  22. Barely diddly squat happening here (despite the fact that the clouds we're kind of looking promising earlier) just seemed to have a thundery look about them but alas nothing (yet)
