  1. Let's see it all disappear on the next run! Does look very impressive for next weekend but we all know charts tend to get downgraded. I suspect it won't be as extreme as GFS is showing just now (Although if it's still there by wednesday then I'll begin to believe it's possible)
  2. I wonder if that could be a sign of things to come over the rest of Scotland tomorrow. Spread those beauties just a few miles further east!
  3. As ever, Any storms will be completely isolated. However, If you are lucky enough to get one? You will know all about it I reckon.
  4. Delayed report I know but yesterday afternoon just after 3pm in the centre of Dumbarton, I saw the most incredible storm I had seen in a long time. Wasn't so much for the thunder and lightning but the rain was so torrential that within 2 minutes of it starting the town was underwater quite literaly (and didn't stop for near enough an hour) 1 hell of a downpour I will never forget in a hurry!
  5. If you have Sky? Go to channel 415. Watching a good storm at Worcester while they're racing.
  6. Anybody fancy a trip to central europe at +372? http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn37211.png (I know it won't happen but still) Where I been last 48 hours (Yesterday I was at m and d's theme park in wishaw I think and the day before dumbarton) There's been a lot of heavy showers sometimes pretty torrential and even some hailstones. Been a fairly lively time up here although localised.
  7. Looks as if it's kicked off again in NE Scotland.
  8. Had a 15 minute storm here. Quite a downpour to go with it too.
  9. Got a hail storm on going here just now but as I look out my window it's still sunny believe it or not! (Mind you was black to the north and east of me) I'm in cumbernauld in scotland incase any1 asks (I should put it in my sig)
  10. Quite interesting to note that glencoe on wednesday I think it was had the record amount of snow for any ski resort in the entire world for 24 hours at 80CM! How many times can you say a Scottish ski resort beat every other ski resort in the world for snow in 1 day.
  11. Truly staggering snow on the mountains here in scotland (and these are just the ski resorts) http://www.skiclub.co.uk/skiclub/snowreports/snowconditions.aspx?intCountryID=96&strSortOrder=Country (Click on SCO if it isn't already highlighted) Simply staggering amounts! Must be 1 of the best seasons ever.
  12. Saw lights flicker a couple more times but not saw any more lightning since our brief burst earlier but rain has turned sleety again.
  13. Not a snow report but just had our first rumble of thunder/lightning for 2010 here in cumbernauld. Noticed a flash then a small rumble. Unexpected but good all the same. (Raining BTW)
  14. Didn't expect snow here in Cumbernauld......but it's falling (and coming down a little bit actually) Probably not heavy enough to leave more than a dusting but didn't expect any snow at all so i'll take it.
  15. Yet another Very Heavy Snow Shower here in cumbie.
  16. The only thing that would make everything complete for this spell would be thundersnow. That would make things interesting!
  17. Tad before my time the 70's That's any snow which melted this morning got a covering again (all roofs inparticulair recovered) This is truly 1 hell of an epic spell of weather.
  18. Whiteout Cumbernauld! Holy damn this is amazing.
  19. Snowing yet again here in Cumbernauld and with the wind it's really blowing around (this is 1 hell of a vintage spell of weather that I am never going to forget in a hurry)
  20. Fairly heavy snow here in Cumbernauld now (blowing about in the wind too)
  21. Very thick, Huge snowflakes falling here in cumbie. 10th day in a row for snow here! Never seen anything like it in my 28 years.
  22. My sister is stranded at work tonight. Can't get home to tomorrow morning. That's how much havoc a 90 minute snow storm has caused here. Amazing.
  23. Still snowing very hard here. Really quite amazing. Easily the best snow since the Feb 2009 spell.
  24. Cumbernauld. Heavy snow again. Loving it. Any snow from yesterday that did melt today has unmelted itself. Amazing spell of weather.
  25. Like the rest of you lot all I can say is what a sudden transformation to Rain then Snow. Came out of absolutely nowhere and was an absolute whiteout for a few minutes. (I'm in Cumbernauld) Easing slightly now but wow!
