  1. ECM is slightly better but overall am still not confident of any prolonged warm and dry spell.
  2. Much better output today but the pessimist in me expects the ECM to flip back to wet rubbish again by tomorrow and be right to.
  3. We've had loads of rain here since Wednesday, been pouring down for the last few hours.
  4. August wasn't great at all, the bank holiday was a complete washout and this was Chester racecourse on the 5th.
  5. Been raining for the last 4 hours, quite heavy recently.
  6. Cloudy here too, as it was all day yesterday, no doubt the sun will come out about 7pm as usual.
  7. Far too bright, will stick with the old one.
  8. Not just you mate, I've started putting them on the ignore list, they bore me rigid.
  9. I find it really annoying that high pressure over us just gets bulldozed out of the way yet in other places it seems impossible to shift.
  10. All the drier areas are in the north at the moment, at some point soon you would expect a n/s split with the north being wet and the south dry as is usual thus not coming close to drought anywhere.
  11. Lol that post was moved from the model thread, it is obviously a cold ramp and obviously very boring now.
  12. Do you know what drought actually means? it takes months to reach that and we've had plenty of rain/snow to top up the reserves this year, fields are still flooded here, there is still groundwater flooding in the south east, reservoirs are almost full.
  13. Pub run seems to have gone a bit mental but I'd still take "zonal rubbish" over cold easterlies and snow showers every time.
  14. Model thread is extremely tedious now, Gavin posts ensembles showing milder then Purga quotes his every post with a counter argument, repeat after repeat, Purga's 260 odd posts must have all come this week he seems to have 3 or 4 posts on every page.
  15. Some fields are still flooded here, water table is really high still, no chance of drought unless no rain for 4 months. http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/homeandleisure/floods/34678.aspx?type=Region&term=Southeast&Severity=3
  16. The model output is garbage, it's far too cold and it will be 20c in 3 weeks because the GFS is showing high pressure near us 384 hours out and is underestimating the temperatures. Model output, moan and ramp all in a sentence.
  17. I can live with cold nights as long as the days have some warmth, possible double figures daytime from that chart and would seem like heaven compared to now.
