I do a lot of observing on this site (and no i'm not extreme right wing!) as i have a form of aphasia since my tumour removal, best for me is to just look out the window, it seems to be the most accurate. It's the reason why i don't post very often. This post took almost 10 minutes.

Sorry, wrong terminology, 8 inches of snow, then thaw, was a mess for a few days. Memory not good due to a Grade 3 BT.

A la Early December '81. Blizzard for a few hours, 6-7 inches of snow dumped, then by the evening temps of 12c saw a rapid thaw.
Yep, i remember that ,ice to drip, drip in 24 hours, slush everywhere.

High or low, rain or snow, give me a woolly scarf over a cravat any day!
I'm new round here but loving the ups and downs of the models. Initial thoughts are not to think anything until 48hrs away.
Welcome on, but there will be plenty of ups and downs, trust me.

That's why i ended the sentence with its 7 days out and it can change.
I tend to wait until 3 days from the forecasted event, 7 days is a long time.

Just dropped in for a brief look, wee bit surprise by what i saw, may well disappear in 6 hours time, nonetheless, worth a peek.

Been following this site for a few years now (with an occasional post), but the weather will do what it wishes, and what happens thousands of feet up in the atmosphere is totally out of our control and changes by the second and almost impossible to predict, but i don't understand why a few people get hyped up about it, so please see it as it is - they're just electronic produced models.

Yep, starting to fizzle, nice distant light show for 30 mins.

Been waiting for one of these for a while now, could well be a spectacular firework display.

Can see the flashes in the darkening sky from that storm to SW of here, probably to too far S for it hit here though.

Looks like they're fizzling out minutes after forming, still not too hopeful here.
