Cloud breaking up here now, a more easterly drift to the flow of cloud, still only 15.2C.

Thick cloud, cold breeze, 9.8c, beautiful start to the day - again.

I know, it was just a sarky comment, just for note, temp has peaked at 13.6c today.

Have a mighty 11.5C here now, so the BBC's to even forecast 18C is a complete pi** take on their ability to forecast accurately, so the weekend and 26/27C may well be another disappointment.

Had roughly 3/4 cm overnight here in N Wolverhampton, more of an effort from the sky than the football team did on the pitch yesterday evening.

You reckon the West Midlands could get some from that system then?
Maybe, but needs refilling.

Still sweet FA of much falling here, just a box standard cold snap at the moment.

Quite amusing really, hardly a flake (or drop!) is set to fall over the central area of the country during the latest GFS's run of 16 days.

Not expecting anything too dramatic falling here - possibly the temp, not from direct a northerly anyway.

The Beeb/MetOffice only has temps peaking between 24/26C locally on Sat/Sun/Mon, with a high chance of thundery showers/storms thrown in for fun, so not overly hot - except maybe for the east and south-east, despite the country wide warnings this morning.
