Looking at the satellite picture the cloud over east wales and the west midlands is fragmenting and breaking up, i think 7pm this evening is extremely optomistic if at all.
There seems to be more northerly movement than eastern, so i'm not getting too excited, as i have seen these situations fade away before, but i may and hope i am wrong.
Sky looks pretty clear to the west from where i am at the moment, and it's a nice sunny afternoon, so don't be surprised at another downgrade, i,m not saying there will be one, but there is a history of it.
Just been having a look through the archives on Wetterzentrale and in the winter of 1990/91 it took more of less the whole of January to change the pattern from zonal conditions to the bitter cold & snow we had in early February, so anything is possible yet.
Anyone noticed the Metoffice website that there will be heavy snow in the Cannock area overnight tonight. This must be an error as the Walsall forecast says very little. Any ideas?
