  1. A442 north of Bridgo..not far off Worfield? Looked black as black, hit the wall of precip, pure madness! as I got to the island near the town centre, then double backed..found a spot and just sat tight? At several points, literally! It was just a noise, bit like sitting in a tin can being peppered during a pea shooting compo Enjoy your jaunt, if near on 40C heat doesn't go sparky...nothing will! Should be fun, fresh air, singing, open fires, local fire water maybe..
  2. I'll pick you up CC..fancy Belgium or France lol..Was a day where even a few miles made a pretty sig difference - in terms of potency and all out reduced vis, flooding, close lightning and thunder to distant rumblings and just steady rain. Noticed how a lot of storms have recently pushed through the main Mids conurbation and yet further west, again hardly a jot? Today slight exception to the rule, only just..but yet again a slight shift east gave a higher degree of seeing something more convective and electrified.
  3. Rain becoming heavier, storm 4 would be nice? Had to travel mind, third attempt just north of Bridgnorth, the db's at several points..all out hail core madness...Beats being on the periphery! That area towards the SE heading London bound looks meaty too. Good luck fellow storm lovers
  4. Just managed to dry out lol...it was impossible at one point to see out of the misted car windows during the height of the storm, main cell core I caught Bridgnorth way, just off the A442..absolutely hammering it was, several volleys of hail later and whilst rain quite heavy, worst had pushed over..stood outside admiring the lightning and deep booms of thunder. Amazing skies to the west too as the sun also decided to play, despite the ever darkening grey swirling mass in front, directly north... Seemed to be a battle between sunny skies west and stormier north and east, both trying to muscle in.. a good mad hour or so, not counting the storm Mids way earlier today. Something I'd perhaps be more used to seeing in late May, perhaps early June, but a half decent show nonetheless Repeat tomorrow? Who knows, although it still feels on the muggy side, potential must be there, possibly further north and east of the patch.
  5. Amazing storm near Bridgnorth area earlier..pulled over, as you do lol and there followed some of the heaviest rain I've witnessed in the UK, periods of hail, CGs but mainly CCs bolting all around, looked evil at one point and whilst not the best ever show, well punchy little storm and head and shoulders above those all too regular distant rumbles... Three storms in total today, third one's the winner
  6. More! After slight clearance...between Bridgnorth and Telford, pulled over plenty of CC lightning...boom!
  7. Not seen rain like it!!!! Omg this is serious big hail wtf
  8. Wow...cloudburst flashy mayhem! Cgs booming frequent lightning now...By Bridgnorth...now hail.
  9. Incredible skies...bows galore..mammatus, by the looks next mega downpour fast approaching! Still Shifnal way.
  10. Direct hit Shifnal...more due south? Roads quite badly hit in places - best maybe yet to come! Big cells still holding firm.
  11. Directly below the wolves cell earlier, flash bang wallop! All moving off pretty sharpish... S Wales and Hereford way next lot? Can they hold it together.
  12. Ditto, nice TS Cinderford way, Glouc. Interesting few hours ahead...
  13. Best chance we have of some rumblings odd flash. Showers breaking out ahead of this too, looks pretty dark towards the SW.
  14. Nice developments Ross On Wye, heading towards Malverns, M5 streamer?
  15. Interesting looking towering clouds, crisp convection and ever darkening bases blooming in the right direct, W Mids way. Still warm quite humid feel. Not much on radar yet? Expect some places seeing at least some action a little later, hail, thunder no doubt as they trundle further NE..potency ramps up further.
  16. Yes quite awash with them down there and into E Anglia too - can't rule out more showers breaking out later, further south and west. Forming into discreet lines or clumps with the odd sferic in places, moving generally NNE.
  17. 30.5C tops, even with a gusty enough breeze, still felt more than comfy this evening. Be quite lucky to see a 24C here tomorrow, far south and east maybe a 27C.That was indeed one typical example of a heat spike!Could do with a storm, clear the air a touch, add some zing..
  18. Think it could be more a case of thunder potential? Seen it many a time before, ants followed by storms. We'll see though eh.Actually getting a spicy curry in tonight, keep juices flowing
  19. Paltry 28C here..can't quite understand Leeds/Bradford sitting at 22C? Could be worse i suppose
  20. Pesky things! First proper outbreak today - expecting a rumble or two next few days to make up
