  1. Nice line developing Stratford On Avon across to Coventry right now..
  2. Blimey kicking off parts of the NW..Blackpool, Barrow...fair play. Must be a nice surprise for some!
  3. That's the beauty of our weather, we seem to forget this when it is quite frankly pants! Warmth and moisture usually a half decent combo for a storm lover - HP meanwhile shall return before Summer's out. No qualms whatsoever..
  4. That's what I like about NW..reports just come in from pretty much everywhere! Only been the once, to admire the rugged landscape and fresh sea air. Enjoy your spoils!
  5. These set ups are always rather tricky to pinpoint much detail re storm or convective potential, indeed things are developing quite quickly, making it all that bit more difficult to predict with much accuracy or timing etc - saying this, similar set ups have in the past produced the 'goods' for some. Not widespread by any means, but if you're directly beneath it, you're very likely to know about it others wondering what the fuss is about. Even now, after a brighter drier slot, a pretty sharp downpour inbound..
  6. Good question..only seem to remember getting one run? Pesky blue bottles etc are a right pain in the butt, they obviously don't like the rain..
  7. Remember the day of the Brum tornado quite well, although positioned app 25miles NW, weather was quite non-descript, breezy, only bright intervals in fact quite cool damp feeling - more sunshine suddenly appeared then humidity seemed to shoot through the roof! Go into overdrive, a massive dark base just grew from nowhere, distant thunder and lightning eventually prevailed..at one point the wind just went manic, just knew this was letting off some pretty serious weather somewhere..glanced at the exact time, rest as they say was history! Was not surprised to hear the first reports coming in..
  8. Thankfully erm nil silverfish....ta!!!!???? Very mucios... Funny how all the Crane flies of earlier have now sugared off? Not usually seen until late Aug or Sept?
  9. Indeed. Ahead of the main 'event' there was some mammatus and lightning zipped across the heavens like you say..in what looked to be clear or just plain cloudy looking skies? Being mobile helped.. I saw this beast between Telford and Bridgnorth, heading south into the main core was in itself fun...opened the car window, the wind felt warm buffeting like crazy! One minute it was in the distance, next min wow...actually got as far as Bridgo..when all hell decided to break loose! massive raindrops, rain so heavy there was a fine mist just rising above the road ahead..now enveloped, turned back again, pulled over near a farm track and watched in awe...As already mentioned, the setting sun made for one amazing spectacle..this area to the left of the storm which was still firing on all cylinders I'd give it about 7 out of 10, extra point because of this sunset and storm combination?
  10. Missed! Missed? Omg......night out? Shall i really reveal all.. Not alot Nite all...
  11. Lol you said that four hours ago...lol..zzz sorry 8am still on standby...one more'll do hehe..Nite nite all, been fun! More later.
  12. View Bridgnorth way yesterday pm...sorry took me a wee while to compile, edit, cut and then paste Enjoy!
  13. All quiet now? Must've pushed Crewe way actually look SE mate, or Congleton way, may catch a glimmer! Not joking.. Seems all of a sudden fresher? Mind you, if the windows were open any wider, may as well be sitting on the roof
  14. Shawbury seeing quite a show according to radar. Rain easing a tad now though, one bright unexpected flash of lightning and loud rumble it was then.
  15. We've nicked yours for a change hehe..counted 10 or so secs, then thunderclap..more billy?
  16. Squall line type feature going through! Gusty, torrential rain sadly nil sparks as yet. Bouncing it is, doing the garden a big big favour indeed. Edit..big flash and bang..going sparky as I type...night storm bonus points?
  17. Direct hit today! Mass of rain, thunder and lightning all blown over from Hereford, Ludlow way. Either side, hardly a whimper.Big downpour, seems to be taking a more westerly track, typical that it isn't sparky though?
