  1. Hmmm..maybe just maybe? Oswestry across to Crewe...would please some members
  2. Saturday also looking good, chance of more widespread thundery rain and showers. All eyes
  3. Still think there'll be some better chances in the next few weeks including the SW...any transition between seasons can be a bumpy one? Throw in a heat spike and hopefully more get to see a show or two or three or four lol. Can't believe just how quick August has flown by!
  4. Very hit and miss today, as always lol. Storms do like to congregate in the Notts Lincs area a fair bit, they must prefer the flatter landscape
  5. Certainly has had it's fair share...Newark, Lincoln places to be, again the A46 providing useful access for any chasers first cracks of thunder any minute now...Discreet area of showers Welshpool too, wouldn't be at all surprised to see more develop north and east of here, these unlikely to be electrified though but locally heavy.
  6. Showers beginning to kick off now, mainly E Mids across to E Anglia - will Nottingham see a show? Lincs too in firing line later.
  7. Relieved to see a few positive albeit at this stage tentative steps towards a bit of convective action. Some may well disagree as it possibly coincides with the last BH for quite some considerable time... Cheers for updates
  8. Chances of a planet many millions of miles away.. to directly affect storm formation, on Earth today, are less than nil. Sorry. My opinion only.
  9. Aye typical..it even gave a few sferics out at sea, what a waste! :)Rain steadily falling, warm rain at that.
  10. Nice one ^ Showers really cranking up in places now, active looking area just offshore near Skegness at the mo.
  11. Certainly some very heavy rain expected in places today, whole area gradually sliding SE overnight into Fri am. Unlikely to be sparky though...wish to be proven completely wrong of course.
  12. The beauty of micro climates? can imagine they change too - not unlike climate on a slightly larger scale - whereby variable patterns come and go, over the years, decades, centuries, if not thousands of years.
  13. Added heat has also increased convective potential..somewhat! Tokyo lightning bolt via electric train. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=3ad_1376381742
  14. Overheard earlier that the actual peak could be just before the dawn sunrise, or as near as, of course light dependent etc - not quite that committed though! Caught at least a dozen more notable ones, about twenty odd faint and counting so far. One more quick peek then adios amigos Enjoyed that, even the local owl population sounded their applause.
  15. Wow! 23.57pm biggest brightest yet...looking NW. Nice long trail behind...
  16. Again, quite a show..some faint others less so, nice one about three mins ago, looking SSW. Good night to be stuck up a mountain
  17. Out at 22.28 instantly met with a biggy...left a faint trail. Looking WSW. Then about half a dozen in the next ten mins. Peak expected after midnight into the small hours. Anyone else seen a small dot, no plane, far too high up! Swift moving..general SW to NW direction, occasionally brighter then quite faint. Lasts for no more than 30secs, then out of sight? Not kidding either...second time tonight, almost same trajectory? No expert but could it be a satellite? Keep good look out
  18. All followed pretty much the same route as the New Romantic scene..to some it was good while it lasted lol Modern or not patterns have not changed, whether our so called experts, leaders, bogey men or women or whoever else, likes it or not? Leave politics out of weather hehe...oh and music!
  19. Good find! Great catch, thanks - boy what a sight...for some very sore eyes Sure did stand out somewhat on radar hence my initial heads up. Seemed to follow almost hug the coast for quite some distance..radar grabs would be nice too.
  20. Bet you don't know what a number 34 with egg fried rice is? Won't push you to the puddings bit
  21. Meanwhile just over The Channel...incredible looking storms just off shore France/Benelux area, must look amazing.
