Stats are nonsense in a lot of ways ..They don't take into consideration each day but the month over all..For instance you could have plenty of days below average in a month. But the first 3 days of June and the recent warm spell. All adds up for the month being warmer or near average. To me this June (my location)was nothing special but was better than last year where it rained for 3 weeks out of the 4.

Typical set up for Summer in the UK. we expect to much after we have some good summers.. Over all the UK summers are poor-And again my biggest gripe like over the years is the BBC forecasts and the mention of heatwaves in them. there is absolutely no need to mention that word when clearly there is no sign of any..All it does it give people the impression theres one around the corner.

Errr no it rained for at least 3 weeks of June last year. I would say we have about 13/14 decent days in June. The first 3 days were hot. then mid month we had 5/6 nice days and 5 days of heat at the end..Well In Leeds it has. I recall during the mid month period..in the west they loads of thunderstorms.. But we missed most of the thunderstorms here.

The south is subtropical compared to 200 miles further north. apart from the facts the south the weather is still poor. But hey lets all live in a fantasy world. Anyway lets get back to what I came on for,just like I say every summer and get shouted down every summer. The jet stream is in the correct position for summers in the UK. And has usual it takes forever to lemon this pattern. That's why am expecting Late July and August to be an improvement..Saying that. I don't think June was overly bad. Unlike last year which was terrible.

Oh eerr its partly cloudy with plenty of sunshine in leeds.. Guess the sun shine is something you are missing

so far summer 2020 has been up and down.. (if you want to start from the June 1st that is). I am hoping we do get a long settled period eventually this summer. It really annoying when the weather changes from day to day.Nice 4 days coming up and a lovely start here. so no complaints.

Been lovely again here. missed the thunder storms to the west. and stayed mostly sunny, Since Saturday its been more like it. After a week or so of poor weather.

Ok getting officially annoyed now! its this time of year where weather forecasters fail to mention the cold winds and the temperature 5/6 c below average. They just refer to it has "cool" Its been freezing today.. Why not say that?? Its not like people will be able to go abroad this summer. So your not protecting the UK economy.

2019 was terrible here.. June and August were mostly wet(apart from the last 8/9 days of June and August) .July was acceptable. It was a warmish summer over all but nonsense other than that. I liked 2013 and 2016.. I cant recall much of 2015 so probably naff.

Lets a have a little perspective here.. We just had basically 2 months of dry weather. The weather pattern was gonna break eventually.Its only the first week of June. even if we get a first half of June being poor. we still have second half of June. July/August and September to go for fine weather.. I know you cant class September a summer month. But last year was lovely and 2016 was a good September as well. So we do get fine weather in that month. Still 10/11 weeks to go. :).

That's it, we don't know what this summer will bring. You can have all the long range forecasts you want.. I doubt anyone predicted how dry and warm May would be. I do have hope for Summer 20/20 personally . I don't see it being remarkably unsettled or cold. I think over all it will turn into an acceptable summer..

Not every day in June is warm. In fact it can get cold. Just like any month of the year.. That's the UKs climate Just like we get hot weather in April and May you can get cold summers...I hope that's not that case. But If we get a poor June. I would accept that.. As long as July delivers.. We are defiantly it the positive category for good weather in 20/20 so far.

Its turned into an half decent day here. Partly sunny and light winds make all the difference. It was horrible yesterday.

I see the met office has been predicting for over a week and half how the weather would become settled by mid June and temperatures to above or near normal.. Now after 10/11 days they have completely done a U-turn with this afternoons prediction Updated: 16:00 (UTC+1) on Tue 2 Jun 2020 Wednesday 17 Jun - Wednesday 1 Jul Through the middle of June, it will stay rather changeable with showers and longer spells of rain continuing in the north and east. From my recollection. nearly all long range models. Including the Chinese and American models.Had a drier than average and warmer than average summer predicted for this year.. prior to the summer season beginning. we know how that turned out. Long range forecasts are nonsense

This is ridiculous.. the last few days have been too HOT.The humidity today is shocking...its been an average to poor summer. But when its been warm its been very hot.

I see the BBC got their long range forecast wrong again for next week.

Oh and regarding the summer so far. If June wasn't so poor. It would have been a reasonable summer thus far. Just that month made summer 2019 on the poor side. Saying that if latter August and September( I know its autumn month) deliver/ I will revise my opinion on summer 2019

Another bbc gripe like I often do, Why do the BBC mention the word heatwave ie "no sign of any any heatwave. why even use the word in their forecast? to give people the false Impression one might be happen later??. Any way August as been decent so far..Not perfect a coupla days of rain and thunderstorms on an evening but so far I would say its been acceptable.

I don't get the complaints over in the model threads..We had a lovely few days prior to the break down over the weekend.. Monday and today are nice (well here) last evening was a lovely summer evening and its suppose to be nice again over the weekend..Its not perfect. But it never is. As long as it remains fairly warm. I will be satisfied.

since the last week in June this summer as really upped its game. Cant really complain about July at all. Not 100% perfect but no summer month is. Hopefully we will get a decent August. And then most of us Summer fans will be satisfied with summer 2019. My main interest is today.To see if the all time record goes.. would be something to break the record. But to think. we have already broken the temperature record for winter this year already. Two seasonal records going in 1 year..That would be something. But also worrying.

what a weird set of weather we have had this year. broke the record for a winter month in Feb when it reached 21c. It was 12 c in middle of June and one of the wettest Junes on record. and the record for July could go soon.

It was a lovely day again here! so cant complain.. July as been decent over all so far. Nothing really hot but its been warm enough for me.
