  1. Excellent June here... way better than last year..I expect July to better than last year. to be fair it cant be any worse. It was dreadful last summer. So all in all big thumbs up
  2. Amazing day here again.. .. (i know already said it earlier )
  3. Turned into a nice day around midday. Its amazing how strong this sun feels this time of year
  4. Lovely summers day yesterday. maybe more cloud today. Hopefully Thursday will be a repeat of yesterday
  5. Looking like a decent day here ahead may get to the magic 70 with a fair amount of sunshine and light winds. Nothing to be sniffed at
  6. It was only a bit of fun.. I wasnt being serious.. I know its not easy predicting the weather in the UK at all.
  7. My original response was to someone saying how the a BBC weather man on the radio got the weather incorrect 3 hours earlier. No doubt one day a forecaster will say its only a shower. and then the entire UK will be under 6 foot of water. I jest but i find it annoying how often they get the weather wrong.
  8. And the use of the word hate is a bit extreme? get paid for being wrong? cushy
  9. Best way to find out what the weather is doing. Is to go outside and look.. no point in weather forecasters in the UK.
  10. I dont know why people complain in the sense.. This is what happens to the UK. Blocked to the east with high pressure. Blocked to north with high pressure. The low pressures off the Atlantic have no place to go but straight at us.. To be Fair this June for most of the northern part of the UK as been pretty decent., Theres been a low stuck over northern France That's had no place to go because of the blocking further north in the UK. so the south has had to put up with it. Looks like next week (if it happens) a low is gonna get trapped over the top of us. hopefully after that it will move things along and shift the whole pattern further north.. But how long that takes is anyones guess. Secondly the Met office has yet to change its update for the second week onwards for the weather to settle down for the UK Time will tell if thats accurate.. But lets face the face here. it takes a hell of a lot to get heatwaves in the UK. because they rarely happen. I just want a settled summer with a bit of warmth and a decent amount of sunshine. So far in my neck of the woods Its been that way. I do live in hope the second half of summer will be hot. Just got that feeling.. and anyway theres Still July August and September
  11. I only moan when weather forecasters lie. Like 3 days ago our local weather they mentioned getting the paddling pool out.. why say things like that?? gives people the wrong impression. The met office has gone for settling down by the 10 of the July with the possibility of warm to hot conditions. there after for the rest of July. they will keep that message up for another 3/4 days and then change it. Just be honest that's all i ask at this time of the year. Anyway saying that i cant actually complain June has been excellent in my part of the world.
  12. Ths time of year where the weather forecasters keep promising and smirking how things are looking positive and in reality its Mid July when we get 4 days of nice weather and the rest of time its desperate. A bit of honesty wouldn't go amiss. It just seems to follow this pattern every year..
  13. Lovely day here with partly sunny skies . doesn't feel cold at all. sometimes you get that nip in the wind that makes it feel colder. Just feels naturally warm.
  14. Like everyone else. His opinion changes depending on the day.. lets face it. No one has any idea what July or August will bring
  15. They are having it bad down south .. June has been lovely here, apart from 3 days recently.. Even yesterday was nice
  16. Like the sound of the new Met office update Sunday 27 Jun - Tuesday 6 Jul Sunday will likely see heavy, thundery showers across the south of the UK, potentially turning torrential. Elsewhere will likely be cloudy with a few showers. Temperatures rather warm and humid in the south, to nearer normal elsewhere. Confidence is then low later in the period, although on balance a lot of fine and dry weather is most likely, however, there are signals for some brief unsettled periods with southern and eastern areas seeing showers, and perhaps more prolonged rain in the northwest. Temperatures will most likely be above normal, with the potential for some very warm or hot days in the south. Winds will probably be light to moderate throughout, with a westerly flow across northern areas, and an Easterly flow across the south. Updated: 15:00 (UTC+1) on Tue 22 Jun 2021 Wednesday 7 Jul - Wednesday 21 Jul Although confidence remains low, in general settled conditions are likely, with a few brief more unsettled spells possible. Some northwestern areas will likely see brief spells rain and cloudy conditions at times, as well as a continued risk for periods of heavy rain or thunderstorms especially across the south. Above-average temperatures continue to be well signalled, with the chance of some very warm or hot days to come. Updated: 16:00 (UTC+1) on Tue 22 Jun 2021
  17. lovely day here.. by all means not hot. but very pleasant.
  18. Gorgeous yet again I know the weather will break eventually but can't complain so far.. And Saturday looks a decent day for most. So all in all its been a great start to summer
  19. been mostly cloudy but afternoon sun out. been warm all day
  20. Lets look at the facts?? the last 2 weeks have been great.. its gonna be nice tomorrow and the weekend.. Tuesday and Wednesday next week look fine.. (but that's to far away at the moment). The weather may well break down .In the long run. But its not even the middle of June yet. .Rest of June July August and September to go. we are not gonna get 3 months of wash out weather..July is usually the most reliable month. I can understand people worrying. with how poor our climate can be, but i personally I think 2021 will turn into an acceptable summer.
  21. Yeah June is always hot in London every year.. its always dry as well
