Currently -1.3°C (at 8am), much different to yesterday's 8am reading of 6.8°C.
Might go to the shop whilst there's hardly any wind at all - should be one of those nice chilly mornings.

I have seen before yeah, I'll wait until we're at the 36-48h point.GFS most of the time does over do it and remember it is the pub run and looks like it's had a large Curry on the way home....
Nothing can ever be 100% ruled out.it cant happen like that. can it?

Getting a fair load of powerful pro-longed gusts here... I've gave up with picking the wheelie-bin back up again.
-
The wind has started picking up about 20 minutes ago, but as triple_x1 said "in bursts". They're quite hefty gusts too... whistling through the cracks (oh matron!).
-
Bit nippy in the breeze outside, besides that, it's alright looking outside - for the time being.

Well in the past hour, it's gone fairly cloudy and teh wind's still picking up - but no rain as of yet, but I think it should be hitting us very soon.

Very windy and my goodness it's nippy in the wind too... just came back from taking the dog a walk and I can barely type. Brr... but that's all there is at the moment. Fairly clear blue skies, very windy and no precip of any kind.

Cor, not going to lie, but that just gave me a lump in my throat....took my Autistic son out in the heavier stuff and he was screaming and trying to catch the flakes...the magic of snow can reach everybody.
I thoroughly agree, snow is magic.

Just had about 3 minutes of light snow... was very nice looking and now it's gone. :/
[Edit]
It's back again... oh nope, stopped. Ok, all-in-all it has been snowing (lightly) and it's currently in "teasing" mode.
-
Currently temp is still dropping slowly and is at 1.8°C, looking on the "snow radar", a few areas of Birmingham have what looks like snow, but then you move a few miles over to me and it's light rain. :/
-
Lowest it got to in the past 24 hours was at 3:15-3:30am, 4:45am and 6:00-6:15am with a temp of 4.8°C.
Chart of previous 24 hours

Mine's rising still... currently on 8.8c :/Colder air should start pushing through now, Temp 4.5c.

8pm and 11pm for me... (CV9) :/Hmmmm? The BBC has me down for light snow at 10pm tonight and the forecast is pretty good for a trough of snow to pass over by the look of the latest graphics? http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/cv12

In all fairness, after yesterday's surprise, I'm very happy with the weather now - something different to just the wind and rain we've had plenty of.Meh, this week looks pants in terms of snow - again, sadly. Sorry to seem negative, but that's the reality. There's more wet than white on the way this week.
Coldest temp for me last night was at 2:30am, 2.3c (1014mb // 2.2mph(W))
Currently at 7.3°C (990mb // 16.8mph(W)

Hey cyclonic happiness, brace yourself... three mentions of that term in this BBC News article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-25902371 (Not this area mind, so slightly off-topic for this thread)Can I please be allowed to shoot the next person that mentions 'mini tornado'???? >< Damn local media cannot help themselves, they ought to report on the mini hail storm and mini floods and mini sunny periods too!
-
Tad bit breezy here, rain hasn't started yet, but shouldn't be too far away.
-
You by any chance? Can I please be allowed to shoot the next person that mentions 'mini tornado'???? ><

Been out on a date today - so only just got back... but what a random day for the weather!
I looked outside at 10:00am and it was lightly raining, let the dog out for a tinkle and when she came back in the light rain turned heavier for about 5 minutes, then about 10:30am it switched to hail (that started really bucketing it down). After about 5-10 minutes of this, it started going lighter, so I thought excellent time to leave and walk down the town to the cashpoint. The second I leave the house, boom! The hail turns to light snow... then with every passing minute it got heavier and heavier - the flakes grew in size too (not going OTT here, but some of the flakes were HUGE! Easily 3-4cm+). At one point it was basically impossible to walk... the snow was coming down in vast quantities and also there were strong winds - so the snow was pretty much travelling horizontally and smashing you in the face (so you couldn't see). Suffice to say, with the slush from the hail and blizzard conditions earlier, I was soaked! Never in my life have I wanted to get into a (warm) pub as quick as I did today.
