Had a friend (about 5 minutes ago) in Nuneaton say he's just seen some lightning and I've just heard a slight rumble of Thunder here in Atherstone. (Head's banging too... urgh)

New conspiracy theory? HAARP nor Global Warming is to blame for the weather... it's the chavs. Hehe." also a weird area Stafford with weird adults/chavs and people with low IQ's " You have head case's where ever you live, But what that has to do with the weather i dont know !!!!
Anyways, getting back on topic, it's starting to get a bit darker here now - and after reading a bit further up the thread that Coventry should see something within an hour, I should start getting me camera(s) ready. *fingers crossed*

Sky's only full of light grey cloud, but no rain. What's coming from France looks juicy...

I fell asleep around 5-6pm yesterday (thank goodness I didn't miss anything here)lol well this thread isn't exactly a hive of activity tonight, is it? I suspect a lot of people are catching up on some much needed sleep after the fun & games last night.
Ooo I do hope there's something.Apparently the models are starting to toy with the idea of another plume event this weekend.

It's all calm albeit muggy (still) here... we are due some more activity later on aren't we? *fingers, legs, toes and eyes crossed*
Temp's rose a bit (on 24c), yet humidity is still around 99% (urgh!)

The Mother did buy a large jar of coffee yesterday for me... let's just say, there's not much left. Though, I'll more than likely be up all day today too... too much of a rarity to miss.hows the sleep deprivation treating people?

Odd faint rumbles in the distance here (CV9) every 5~ minutes ... no visible lightning anddd it's very "muggy". :/
-
..good solid hour of action though
Nothing directly overhead, but have had an hour or so of some awesome lightning (in the distance). It's all gone quiet now, am hoping for more... well can see something edging its way up, just hope it explodes over the Midlands. *fingers crossed*

Have witnessed since 1.15am until 2.30am~ a fair few flashes in the distance (to the East of CV9), not much thunder though... tried to get something recorded on the camera too, but nothing... *huffs* ... hopefully something tomorrow? *fingers crossed*
As for the current situation, well it's bloomin' humid. So wet. :/

Hah! True. *sits and waits*I'm just waiting for the global warming brigade to pop up and tell us that this is because of global warming, whereas the march cold spell was just 'weather'

Don't forget too, there's that "mini-sponsor" ad just before, then -as you said- 30 seconds of weather, then back to the sponsor ad again. All-in-all I think that lasts longer than the actual report. But as for itv weather - well, what a load of crap. It lasts all of 30 seconds, only covers that day and at best, the next

The closest I've seen to what you've described is WeatherView, but that was on BBC One last night at 1.15am (so after the time you specified and not sure if they also show it on News 24) and they always show a lot more. I prefer watching WeatherView - seems to give me a better understanding of the weather than the local forecast seems to. :/Just watched a forecast at 00.57 on bbc news 24 and it was pretty good! They showed all the weather systems moving around the globe and not just that but with added jet stream. You could clearly see how far south it was and how many low pressure systems were heading this way Shame they don't do that more often or put more effort in

Oh yes! This is cracking off now. Hardly anytime between lightning and thunder.
