Hello Martin and welcome!Well i think it's time to say a big HELLO to everyone, i'm totally new on here but been a lover of all thing weather for as long as i can remember and been following the fascinating posts on here for a few months, some amazing information on here so keep up the fab work guys.

"A level 1 was issued for eastern France, Benelux, and south-eastern British Isles mainly for tornadoes and severe wind gusts."
"A dynamic weather pattern is forecast for eastern France and western Germany. In the wake of the cold front, dry air advection is initially expected. Additionally, clouds and showers reaming from overnights convection may limit low-level heating. However, to the north of another mid-level jet streak that is located across southern France at noon, low-level backing winds are forecast, and a southerly flow will result in moisture increase. Given increasing lapse rates due to DCVA, some CAPE is possible. Storms are forecast to form along the convergence from eastern France to the south-eastern British Isles during the afternoon, spreading north-eastward and clustering.
Main focus of severe weather will be the nose of a low-level jet spreading north across eastern France. Latest GFS indicates 20 m/s winds at 850 hPa, resulting in strong low-level vertical wind shear and curved hodographs (0-1 km bulk shear 15 m/s and SRH near 200 m²/s²). Current thinking is that low-topped supercells can form that move north-eastwards. These storms may be capable of producing tornadoes, while the threat moves from eastern France to the Benelux countries and south-eastern British Isles in the evening. Large hail and severe wind gusts are also not ruled out."

Around 16.5 at the moment here - already starting to feel unbearable... I hate the heat. Sure I was a polar bear in a previous life... or a Great Auk. Meh.
Oh, random question... when would it be (almost) best to judge if it will or won't rain (be it light or heavy) this coming Bank Holiday weekend? About Tuesday? Wednesday? Wondering if it'll start raining again for Pride... seems to everytime I'veventured there for the Saturday. :/

^ This cloud's just dropped a massive load of hail... been going for a good 5-10 minutes and only just stopped. Wished there was something else from it... oh well. :/

The radar's showing some red's nearby and the rain's trying to get heavier, but the sky's still brightish too - overcast though. Do hope there'll be something stormy. *fingers-crossed*

Taken several mins ago to the north, on the edge of a shower which presumably marks the sea breeze convergence, lasted 2-3 mins at a guess.
Edit to add: My location is still in East Devon a few miles south of Ottery St Mary (am gunna be leaving to head back to uni soon though)
I'd definitely warrant that a FC.

The sky's full of just miserable grey cloud and it's travelling quite quickly too, accompanying it is just a few specks of pathetic rain.
The radar's been great to look at during the night, however doesn't seem to want to do anything when nearby. :/

"The first multi-day, significant severe weather outbreak of 2014 is set to begin Saturday in the Great Plains. Very large hail and damaging winds are the primary threats Saturday, with isolated tornadoes possible. An even greater threat exists Sunday, including strong tornadoes, focused in the Ark-La-Tex region. Heavy rainfall could also bring flood concerns to parts of the Miss. & Tenn. Currently [14:59] drifting (left) past my window ... so, I'm guessing that's towards Tamworth (so North)
