Yep! And the reason why I normally use the regional thread. I have a lot of knowledge that I try to share on here but it’s like a school ground in here! It’s pathetic!
You seeing the same Scandi heights we spoke about? Yeah potential there mate!

Yes great charts this evening. It would be nice to get an improved gfs. I see sky news or running with rhe snow warning as their top item now!

Many in here saying a dry outlook but wasn't there lows to our SW next weekend which could lead to a snow event as per Met Office update. Have I missed something? Have these lows now disappeared?

The HP might feel cool to begin with but will fill to warm to nearly double digits over the course of its stay as you'd expect.
Looking forward to the sunshine!

In amongst all the noise about future cold prospects, the 1300hr temp at St James Pk, London was 15.2c.
The all time record maxima in England is 15.5c, so there now looks a very good chance that this could go….As weather enthusiasts, that should at least interest us, especially as GFS were pumping out some 15-16c maxes for both Xmas Eve and Xmas Day over a week ago now.
easy for em to forecast mild muck though isn't it !

A disaster. It really feels like we could be here in mid January still looking for signs of a colder weather in the extended. I really hope met4forecast is incorrect about us having to wait till the next mjo cycle in February for cold . He has gone quiet since his last post.
like i said before. maybe a cold day or 2 in March will be it !

So that's another chase in the bin if we take the holistic trends for the day / the 12z suite (jma exempted) and this 18z gfs...
Where to now ? New year SSW followes by two week lag is the realistic situation in my view..
might get a nice cold day in March if we're lucky
