Hopefully Those little blobs on radar to the west of jersey explode into something of interest. I noticed the same thing happen the other night before that huge squall line developed went from 0 to hero in about an hour. Never seen something develop so quick except for the bmouth storm in 2015

Shocked as well, how far away were you when you shot this? Can't believe how many people are just sitting/standing around watching/filming it all.... Surely, that was damn dangerous, was it coming towards you?
That was an absolute belter.....!!!
I didn't film it lol found it last night reminiscing on YouTube. It's crazy ain't it I wouldn't wanna be outside in that. To me it was moving north north east. Hopefully we get something like that over the next few days but I doubt it now

It's on topic as far as I can see... a video of a thunderstorm, and a fantastic one at that. As you say it is hard to believe this was England. I've never seen CG's raining down that frequently in this country. I know that night was an impressive night though, especially across the south coast. I am thinking it is the 4th July last year as at the end of the video there are links to other videos for this date.
If I see something even close to that tomorrow night I will be forever satisfied!
It was in Friday the 3rd into the 4th maybe a once in a lifetime storm. The frequency of lightening was unreal on lightening maps at some points there were 10 or more strikes at once from it. I bet you will man

On sat24 looks like there's major wind convergence over central England I wouldn't be surprised if some of those storms in that region Drop afew funnels

amazing footage. the shower at 1600 must have been the one that went over me in blandford at 1545 ish was intense had another one before that on the way to work at 1340 ish was graupel hail sleet and snow my car temp went from 8c before the shower then dropped to 0c when i was in it. do you recon evaporative cooling caused this? as ive heard it can bring the snow line down to ground level
-
Very large snow shower just passed through blandford heading s/se just showed as rain on radar though evaporative cooling must have taken effect went from 8c to 0c on the car thermometer

Nuts isn't it?
In all honesty, I didn't expect it to be as rough as this here. If there's not damage & trees down around the area, i'll eat Mapantz.
67mph at Hurn - That's impressive.
it sure is, i didnt either. dont no how im gonna sleep with this whistling window lol might take a trip down sandbanks to see how rough it is. that is definitely a impressive gust for not being directly on the coast
