still got mod snow but not settling just causing what snow was left to melt. so the warm front won then.. back to damp wet boring weather

new it had to end and some point. Cant complain we have had a great week.

Make the most of it peeps a nice low is coming in tue/wed bringing allot of wet windy weather..

hi ya no proper thaw here temps at +1 just very light dandruff not settling as far to light. All the ppn looks like it has moved over towards Ireland. Dosent look like there is anymore on the way. They have changed it to rain now tomorrow .. Gawed i give up with the forcast's im not going to watch anymore just look out the window best bet.

Just a word about the radars they can fool us to think there is more/less ppn due to lying snow being reflected off.

Still dont know if to get put back on call for tomorrow night ... I booked the night as i didnt want to be driving around again in snow and ice on top of what we have.. Now it looks if North devon ect is going to escape the worst. might give the hospital a ring to put me bk on call as i will get into trouble..

Temps down to -3 and its cloudy... cor do u remember the old days when cloud cover ment no frost or ice

You're confused, I don't know if we have snow coming for us or not or if I should be in the SW Forum or the South Central Forum or the South East Forum, guess I'll just go where the snow goes

stay in this one its the best..

but if you want something more relevant to your weather go to SE or SC forum's...

it even gets confusing for us because anything north of Bristol (and thats pushing it) has no baring on the SW weather at all.. we are a peninsular so very different weather here ... Stay and have fun though

Now I know I never watch ITV weather, but, just caught the local going for snow tomorrow, a bit on Monday, "heavy and drifting over the moors" on Tuesday and snow showers on Wednesday. This implies the breakdown is beaten back by the cold to me.

Haven't seen a local BBC one today.

Its higher ground dogs - thats been the forecast all along, heavier snow for the hills with a bit of orographic lift - we might get something similar here if we get enough lift over the cotswolds

Anyway all eyes for me at the moment on the bristol channel - where all that lot cropped up from?!

no they haven't but your never going to stop people ramping... Still no snow for tomorrow and rain for wed if you believe the BBC and local radio st..

I took the night off work tomorrow night as well (DOH) lost money now... so not happy..

oh dear massive down grade for the SW BBC are just going for snow in the SE and the NE ... What the hell happened, There is me telling friends and family that snow was on the way for sun and mon and now the BBC just say it will be cloudy :blink:.

bbc 5 day do-da is only giving me light snow on sun cloud mon and tue and rain wed... ... Also (dont tell matt) i took a peek at the local itv weather and it hardly said anything for us over the weekend more like light snow flurries.. So the the folks in the bbc and itv no nothing or there is a huge ammount of ramping going on in here. will have to wait and see, i personaly dont think the north side of devon cornwall and somerset are going to have alot, if anything.

So looks like the snow fest continues i have my milk and loads of food so no need to go out till mon that is.

hi ya... tiss quiet tonight .. nothing really to say, same old thing, warmer tonight -3.. Still unsure if we are going to get any snow over the weekend and by we i mean North Devon. Truth is every weather report i see says something different, most seem to be going with rain or sleet. But the GOOD news is i got my MILK ... so tea and coffee all round

What is this obsession with milk?!

Well its a funny substance... its white .. :o

and is used for various things like putting in tea/coffee.. used to make milky pudding's, scrambled eggs, omelettes. put on cereal. er um mash potatoes. :o

my obsession is tea, and if i havent got any milk i cant have my tea which make me ... Seems to be one of the things shops run out of first. you would think they would have learned by now.

please give us a new thread this one taking ages to load. temps now -7 here.. I was supposed to work tonight but still cant get my car out .. Im on a hill and still have lying snow with ice on top and underneath, i tried but wasnt going anywhere. even up the road a bit where they have managed to put some grit down has frozen. I remember someone said the other day that at -3 even the gritt frezzes. So more snow on the way?? ive run out of milk cant get out to get any the 1 shop we have in the village has nothing.

just think all ours will be gone by tomorrow night and we will be back in milder weather, so we will get the post snow blues.. And you will be laughing.. Was a total surprise to get as much snow as we did up here it was shunted across the Bristol Channel from Wales .. so nice one Wales..

-4 now and the wind has died down a bit, snow has set like concrete now.. not going out again as nearly broke my neck on the steps.

Pep that fell in barnstaple last night and this morning feel as sleet and didnt top anything up . Such a shame.

hi i dont know where you are but we got a massive dumping infact im snowed in .. and its still snowing.. Just been for a walk around the village in landkey and it is really deep. best snow i have seen in years.

temps have dropped to -3 here now from a balmy -2 ... just been outside to wake up a bit. No power outages yet thank god as i am all electric and have no cent heating so would :o Power very good here hardly ever goes out .. just as well ..
