In this apparent horrific week from hell we had 30mins of light rain yesterday and a 2min light shower today that barely wet the ground. Yes itโ€™s been a little cooler than average, 23c today in London, but there were also some decent sunny spells today.ย

    The weekend looks rotten though.ย

Yup. I was up in Blackpool last weekend... oh the glamour. ๐Ÿ˜‚ย Had some great thunderstorms and nice heat. Storms from Wales then blasted the Fylde coast.

Everything down here in the south east has got boring weatherwise recently. Maybe there'll be surprises... like last December. ๐Ÿ‘ย

  2. Great to see this thread up again. I was just thinking this earlier on. We've had a dry summer so far down here but just enough rain for the parks not to be burnt to a crisp. In 3/4 weeks time we'll be starting to see the early autumn dews of a morning. Not long now lads. ๐Ÿ‘ย

It's pretty much as forecast at this stage -the SE was always likely to be driest. This is from Monday morning across the following 5 days.ย

Yup, and Netweather's forecast issued on Monday was spot on. Unlike certain others. Fair play!! Consistently more accurate over the last few months.

  4. Certainly looks like July is gone for a Burton now heatwise thank god. And even early August according to the met looking changeable. After that it doesn't matter as we'll be a few weeks away from autumn at that stage. A hot July after that June would have been a nightmare. Anyway, we can rest easy now and enjoy some at least interesting weather. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  5. Goodbye June 2023. You won't be missed. Total lack of variety weatherwise just endless sun, heat, humidity and a very poor attempt at a t- storm. Looks like early- mid July is going to offer the weather enthusiast something much more interesting.Once we hit August it doesn't matter as we'll be on the home stretch to autumn then anway. Plus there are some flying toys in the MAD group which is always fun. ๐Ÿ˜€

I think apps just take readings from models at the current time and not met office stations but I don't use apps myself so i wouldn't know that much. Today's max temperatures has just appeared on meteociel shows Exeter airport got to 29.55C today the max.

    Could contain:

Folk should always use Meteociel for up to the minute information and accuracy. The amount of information on there is just awesome. Meanwhile on the publicly funded Met Office website... designed and updated by children. ๐Ÿ˜‚
