Looks like most models show us in the warm air until at least Tuesday, maybe Wednesday.
Two day wonder now at best down here. Certainly nothing of note Midlands northwards.ย

You'll have to hope he predicts the mildest on record if you want a cold one!
I'll let you know once the tea leaves settle.

For a weather enthusiast's site I can't understand folk getting into a frenzy over some wind and rain. It's rough weather. Get used to it for the next 7 months.ย
For goodness sake.

Weather warning now issued from the Met Office from 4pm today - 3am tomorrow with heavy rain and risk of flooding for large parts of the South East and East Anglia.ย
Get the sun loungers out then. Once those jokers forecast ought,do the opposite.ย

Finding this a total waste of a weekend, totally unusable weather, to hot to sit out, to hot to sit in a beer garden, to hot for outside jobs,to hot in the house for housework.....good job the Rugby is on!...Next week will be a blessed relief.
Yup. It's torture . Imagine if this was June and potentially looking at three months of this.Thanofully it's not and we have 7months of cool damp and cloudy weather just around the corner.

As a heat hater, gotta say it's not been bad here at all thankfully, only 25 degrees here today in SE Sheffield and quite a lot of cloud coming in.ย
Same here in London to he honest. 31c today about not actually too bad. We are half way through this now folks so nearly there, though I fear there may be a sting in the tail at weekend. Anyway, looks like 20c here in London next Tuesday according to the Met Office.

ย Worst that can possibly happen is another week or so of this and then it's 6/7 months of guaranteed cold and damp weather.
I suppose we should sympathize a bit with the heat lovers in that respect? Ermmm no .

Quite a warm night with all the cloud around, stayed above 15C. Still quite cloudy now but some sunshine trying to come out. Should be clearing more through today and tomorrow.
I think some September night temperature records at risk of being broken next week. September 1949 holds the local record of 17.9C here and could easily stay above 18C next Weds / Thurs. England / country wide record is 21.7C in London, also 1949.
Yup, 1949 is a year that's all often mentioned by the climate change/warming world brigade.

Looking at some of the latest output it would appear that it's going to be a fairly shortlived warm spell especially for those in the Midlands and northwards.

Take care in this weather mate, It will certainly be the worse spell i fear this year now. Some folk just can't grasp whatย effect heat can have.ย
Remember also that the folk that are banging on about wanting heat will spend the entire duration of the warm spell indoors glued to the Internet commenting on how hot it is outside!

That was crazy! I haven't seen rain like that in years. Everywhere flooded in minutes. Driving up the hill to my house was like driving through a waterfall!
Can see the tops of the massive thunder clouds from here in South London.

Two decent storms in London today. Massive thunder booms and torrential rain. Didn't see any lightning though.
-
Yet another perfectly decent day in London. 21c with good sunny spells. Despite the met office saying there was going to be heavy showers and mostly cloudy.ย
If any of us were so rubbish at our jobs we'd be out on our ear.

Isn't it amazing that last Monday, today was forecast to be hot and sunny in London with 31c.ย
It's 18c and rain.
Seriously!!!!!
'heat dome' and whatever other money grabbing scare cliches the met office throw at us. Oh look, they have just named a storm.....in August!!
