Not a Very good May at all-Cool and Our Wettest month of the year so far here in Sheffield and more due Tomorrow Evening and Early Sunday Morning-absolutely vile some days when the rain has fallen-more like November than May.
And the verdict from the Met Office up to the 27th May is-Cold and Wet month
http://blog.metoffice.gov.uk/2015/05/29/a-cold-and-wet-may/
This is of course with 4 more days to be added on (including both today's and this Sunday's rain figures to add on.)
I Just want the newspapers to stop harpling about how it's gonna be Hot and Dry through all 3 months of Summer when we all know that's not gonna happen.
If the average for the month stays below 11.0c, only two members would be in the running to win this month as most members have got their guesses between 11.0c and 12.0c
And even if the rest of this month is dry, we can't declare it a dry month anymore that's for sure-and we still have a Spring Bank Holiday weekend to go later this month. Could May end up as 2015's wettest month so far-quite possibly.
So it looks like things may turn unsettled for eastern parts late next week (if it hasn't changed from John Hammond's ten day outlook from yesterday that is)
As of 2:00 pm, England has also had it's first 20.c of the year.

We've hit 20C today in Aberdeenshire, the last time we got to 20C in the UK it was Halloween. Alex D. #spooky #Easter
Scrap my previous post-Aberdeenshire came close today with 19.C-so we might get the first 20C this week.

Well it's certainly been an a very interesting end to March here in Sheffield throughout last night and all day today-A Rainstorm that went on for hours yesterday evening, then very windy today to the point where i thought my bedroom roof was going to take off!, and then to top it all at 5:30 this afternoon, a massive hail storm caused the ground to turn white-someone clearly forgot to tell the weather the clocks had gone forward!
Warmest day of the year is on the verge of being claimed

We may be seeing the warmest DAY at the moment but overnight 9-10 Jan, Sidmouth hit 17.0C so we're not quite at 2015's top temp just yet. JC
And this day will also be remembered for the shot of both The Queen and The Duke of Edinbrugh looking miserable as sin during the boat pageant on the Thames in the pouring rain during Jubilee weekend-an absolute write off of a day in terms of the weather.
