  1. That awkward moment when you name a storm that actually happened Thursday!
  2. Settling here in Sheffield but enjoy it whilst we can folks as it's due to turn to rain at about 2:00pm and tonight we are at a barmy (for recent times) 6C at 10:00pm this evening so rapid thaw is likely-http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2638077
  3. Intrestingly The Warnings have just gone to Amber for tonight's snow in Scotland https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings#?region=ta&date=2018-01-16&regionType=area
  4. It doesn't need to be done away with but i don't think the naming of the storms can wait until the warnings get to Amber (just my own personal opinion.)
  5. Or maybe not as we just went from 1.4C to 2.3C in the space of 15 minutes-cue snow melt!
  6. 85mm Rain for this month please since i forgot put this on my temperature guess
  7. And a good job we're not getting sucked into tomorrow night's alleged event-Temperatures for tomorrow here in Sheffield are up to a (Balmy) 5.C-That should get some snow melt going before too long as it's mostly rain apart from a bit of sleet tomorrow tea time. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2638077
  8. But intrestingly the start time has gone back a few hours to 8:00am (when it was 5:00am yesterday.)
  9. But interestingly the warning time has shortend from to 6:00pm where are previous warnings had it going til midnight.
  10. Which at the moment is looking as through we aren't going to get it as badly here in Sheffield as originally thought with each passing model run-I knew the BBC Forecasters and the models would end up over enthising it
  11. Keeps fingers crossed it stays well away from Sheffield!
  12. Still all to play for as like i said last night it will probably end up going due south
  13. Waits for the whole thing to turn out to be the same thing that happend at the end of last week-Snowing all night last Thursday night only for it to be gone by Friday afternoon-And we are stlll 4 days away-still time for it to head due south.
  14. Well at the moment it looks all of our guesses are well out unless there's a cool down within the next fortnight.
  15. 28.2 in Cambridgeshire is the new official high-just 0.1 away.
  16. It's making up for it now through as it's been belting it down for the last hour or so.
  17. From one end of the spectrum (the warmest June day since 1976 on the 21st) to the other in the space of a week!
