Just starting to settle here.
Hopefully not for too much longer through since temps are meant to shoot upwards overnight.

I think that we're heading towards a 2007/2012 style breakdown at some point this year-the question is when.
-
Also a late one from me but i'm going for May 5th just before Coronation Bank Holiday Weekend.
-
5.2C and 107mm please
-
6.8C and 112MM please.
-
Best chance since 2010 (and yes i do count 2009/2010 as Technical White Christmas's) although what's the betting the mild and wet dross we have experienced most years since 2010 arrives on cue!
-
5.5C and 96mm please.

LOL funny enough I always wish for heavy rain for Halloween.
Well we're certainly getting that this year-in fact we appear to back where we finished September (and the end of June) in a sense with a downpour to boost what would otherwise be dry months (October aside).

The output looks similar to what we discussed yesterday, these CET daily changes will probably alternate 0.1 and 0.2 as they look set to average 0.15 a day (30th a bit warmer may not drop much). The EWP will be under some upward pressure on the last day with heavy rains arriving in the north but the grid average plus current 65 mm looks to be around 77-78 mm for a finish.
Yep-It's looking like Friday might be the day to watch in terms of rain.
-
11.6C and 117mm please.

Well in Sheffield, we will soon be going "drought, what drought" as the heavy rain seems to have made it to Sheffield again.

Here's to this thread being as "dead" as possible in the upcoming weeks
And for a good reason too.

14.1C and 82.5 mm-I feel the trend we've seen all year will finally break during this month.

Should the Azores High once again extend across the UK next week I think we will seriously be looking at potentially the warmest August on record. I'm not sure if we'll beat 1995's maximum CET of 25.1°C though unless we see a return of 80°F+
Still time for the Bank Holiday weekend to scupper this.

And it's still going-we must getting close to 2 inches of rain now.

Well we normally brew storms for you. I just watch the clouds go over you get the bangs and crashes.
This is getting on for a good inch of rain, possibly more.
-
And the storms have arrived in Sheffield!

26c For Sheffield tomorrow so a lot better for us even if the storms don't make it here-in fact we're down to 18C as a max by Wednesday.

Thank goodness this is the last day of the heatwave-hopefully the last one of 2022.

"....but there's never much we can do about mother nature..."
I'm afraid that there's many who believe that we've already done far too much about Mother Nature
Surely we've done too little with Mother Nature this summer.

All said just as it was throwing down in December, the first half of January, plus this month including all the snow melt!
