Exacta weather (James Madden) Has posted on his blog saying (See Below)
'Another period of very stormy weather and potentially damaging winds is also likely to develop later in the week and into next weekend, especially in some parts to the south and west of the country. Further gusts and severe gales in excess of 70-80 mph may develop at times, with the additional risk of further disruption to the country'

Edit:He may just be right I hope there will be a real storm this time if it happens.

Beside that Please keep this on topic thank you.

If no-one objects within the next 15 mins I'll start a "St. Jude's Storm data and forecasting" thread as all the idle chat, forecast requests and arguing in this thread is bloating it out. Not good when you want firm updates on a mobile phone.
Good idea The main thing i am seeing is met office this or that.

There could be a storm coming from the north next weekend.
The north will get its fair share.

Yes but update doesn't necessarily mean amber to red, it could just be a readjustment of the warning area. I'm only going by what the chief forecaster said, who presumably has a high degree of responsibility for this decision. Either way, I would be fairly surprised if we don't see a red warning for this, mainly because the forecast area for disruption is highly populated.
I know

There was an interview on Radio 4 this morning talking to the chief forecaster at the Met who said if the warnings go red, it'll probably be at some point on Sunday.
The warnings will be updated Saturday morning.Thats on their website.

Today is the day we find out if the met office goes red.
Since i live in cornwall and on a hill the winds will be stronger.
-
NMM have it more confined to Southern coasts at first, still very potent here and then it curls inland more during Monday morning:
NMM gusts 281013 09z.png NMM gusts 281013 12z.png
Yet again a continuation of the things from NMM with the timing going back into Monday more, the South coast still gets a battering as it has on almost every run of most models for days.
Looks like cornwall is the worst place.(I live there)

Hahaa! All the best mate. All I know is, they will not be a million miles from you at all. Definitely Nottingham across to Lincs Southward. You might get some tornadic action though, as there looks to be some mad converging winds within the centre of the low. Beware bud! I think I'm gonna be in for a serious battering
tornadoes???

Can't you move south for the day?? Lol, I don't want it too bad - can't see the school run being much fun :-/
Does it matter which way it goes?

Lets hope the CFS model after it's recent wobbles is back on the right track, December and January could come in with CET close to zero.
But we love cold
-
It's never as bad as they say. I'm determined to complete my sail from Cornwall to the scilly isles on Monday
Dude your best not to risk it if the storm gets bad.

Looks like the storm is sealed on target to the uk and beyond .now its the matter of how strong it gets and rain/wind.
-
One thing to be concerned about is that at current track and position expected, we are likely to see the strongest winds +100mph or so gusts through the exposed Channel. With 70-80mph through the majority of London and the Home counties. ANY track further NORTH is really not something you should like to consider as then the most populated area in Europe.
The main flank of winds are going for 93mph sustained to 100mph+ So anyone hoping the track goes further North, please don't
MetOffice warning system is currently at the following status. Some branches or trees brought down. Localised travel disruption. Localised problems for high-sided vehicles on prone routes. Drive with care, especially on exposed routes. BE AWARE of possible debris being blown around.
It will only upgrade to RED on the following. Widespread structural damage, e.g. roofs blown off, mobile homes overturned, power lines brought down. Risk to personal safety from flying debris. Potentially widespread and/or prolonged interruptions to power. Expect widespread transport disruption due to e.g. roads blocked by fallen trees.
Yeah Lets hope it doesn't go to the red warming.Lets not see a storm of 1987.
