  1. was viewing the data on the storm percentage page, clicked local forecast and times are displaying as NaN:00 NaN:00, only seems to be affecting the "tomorrow" page.
  2. looking at the met office again, gust speeds are pretty much the same as today for monday morning now for hereford.. fingers crossed things arent as bad as they could be on the 2pm update.
  3. warning times have changed again in the last 15mins, now saying between 3am and 12 for hereford tho the gusts are arent much worse than predicted today..
  4. looked at the warnings a few mins ago on the met, seem to have both amber and yellow warnings, amber through the night yellow for part of the day.
  5. met office was predicting thunder up till an hour ago, now they are just predicting rain. tho in all honesty lm not a fan of thunder so will be glad if it misses hereford. looks like its mostly north thats getting hit, only one or two strikes were recorded in south wales tho l did see one strike recorded further east from hereford on Blitzortung but its mostly up north now.
  6. just wondered if anyone could give me an idea of if there will be any electrical storms tonight in Hereford. got a bit of work to do tonight but dont want to do large uploading tasks if l have to stop mid-way if lightning starts (l had to send my xbox in for repair weeks after getting a new one last storm in july so dont want to chance it this time for something else to go lol). main reason l ask is that the will it thunder page gives a 72% chance for it while the met office changed its regional prediction, l did check earlier and apart from the cost nowhere locally around me has anything higher than 52% possibility of anything kicking off. that being said it looks like things are calming down looking at blitzortung and that the weather has only really hit the south coast, london and other eastern areas so far, lm hoping the chances are pretty low of venturing further west.
  7. confused about thunder risk for hereford, was looking on the thunder risk page earlier and it said 57% then suddenly went down to 19% chance but after midnight just shot up to 72%, lm more confused that localities lve checked directly around me seem to have a lower percentage of activity. (l like storms, just not locally lol due to my need of computer equipment and transferring of large data so l try to plan ahead for eventualities that may happen). currently the met office doesnt have lightning symbols over us but up till an hour ago there was one for around now so recently lm not really sure if they know if the weather is coming or going.
  8. my knowledge is less than basic, recently l found a site which gave me a basic understanding of lifted index using colour codes (weatheronline site to be specific), however ld like to know a little more about how to work out if there is a thunderstorm comming if that makes sense as lve seen allot of other readings being used, while l dont expect it to all be simple it would be interesting to know some basic readings that might help me work out when l need to be about to turn off sensitive equipment l have running. main reason l ask is because the met office hasnt really predicted anything with great accuracy recently as their predictions seem to change hourly.. like yesterday it was supposed to rain all day but we only got a spot at 4pm and some of their predictions of thunder dont really match what lm seeing on weatheronline if l go by lifted index. http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/cgi-bin/expertcharts?LANG=en&MENU=0000000000&CONT=euro&MODELL=gfs&MODELLTYP=1&BASE=-&VAR=lftx&HH=6&ZOOM=0&ARCHIV=0&RES=0
