    I think I read somewhere on another forum that the system seems to be more north east than modelled. Couldn’t remember if they were referring to the snow or the wind ... .. time will tell I suppose ..

    You must have been reading my mind, I was about to say never mind the snow or snowt now for us, what is situation on the Winds forecast tonight... you say downgraded? Where's the downgrading come from? Exactly as you said the apps and forecast still showing about 50mph for where I am which is rare.

    Yep think we got the edge of that .. so a sprinkle on one of the cars outside. Yes I repeat ONE of the cars outside. A snowt amount of wintry ppn. That’ll be it then for today and Winter 2018. I best get to work.

    i can’t see how we are going to get anything wintry in central southern... looks like the ppn will either be to the north or south leaving us with a clear space of nothingness.

    Well well well well - nothing but lovely sunshine here - and a few clouds. Now, without the microscopic chance of some snow, ordinarily I would be over the moon after the dull, depressing still few days of late, but I seem to be a little disappointed. Must shake that off. When is it getting windier - just feels like a fresh spring breeze at the mo. Wish I wasn't working... boo.

    I think our local weather station at Thatcham recorded 69mph. Am dreading coming home from Scotland today to strewn bins as no one will have picked them up. Why is that? Hoping that is all I come home too...

    Am used to the mild breezes of Berkshire, and occasionally the gales of south coast. Up in Inveraray currently and it certainly not feeling out of the ordinary right now.. ha ha.. I quite fancy though going out for a nice walk. Clear the ? head..

    Up in Inveraray and storm Dylan is packing a few punches.. quite a change from the snow and ice and being stuck on near Glencoe for an hourly so on account of some Poor person sliding off the road. Yes it is sheer ice not water on those photos . (If I can manage to post them) Anyone know when storm Dylan due to pass?

    Hope y’awl enjoying the festivities and some snow? Feels like am missing the action or I’ve the snow shield. Up in Inveraray with a trip to Isle of Skye tomorrow so hoping that warning does stay further south for you. Although am not favouring the ice situation ....

    Merry ? all of you. Hope you having a wonderful time.. so am up in Durham and due to Travel to Inveraray tomoz.. there’s a murmur of snow in some places but am having difficulty trying to catch up and assess the situation... any thoughts anyone can give me on the impending forecasts for the northern half of the uk?     Hmm ... whilst no snow on the horizon , we still have the icy night ahead of us... Just looked at my forecast,. -6 tonight and a wind chill of -12 ........ Mr CEO of southern electric will be rubbing his hands in glee tonight as all of us whack up the heating.... those that can though - I presume some are still without power... . This is when we really need to check on our elderly neighbours.

    Hey for some reason I am awake.. oh no tell a lie I know why. My lodger is up and this is a small house so can hear everything. Strangely too it feels warm tonight and I don’t have the heating on? Hmm. Anyway I digress. I get the feeling that storm will skirt along the channel and will fall as rain. I hope to be corrected of course. Just can’t see it happening.

    It looks carnage out there further north of me, and not so far away. Looks like it could a stay at home day for some tomorrow. Many schools closed.
