  1. A damp morning turned into an increasingly sunny day. A slight wind kept temperatures around 18c all day (max 18.7c). Cracking evening
  2. Not as good a day yesterday as forecast. Was 15c at 10am but didn’t really rise much and the sun failed to properly break through. Today is a wet one. I’d agree with saying it’s pretty ‘vile’ as stated above. 11c and v wet. Great growing weather though, things have exploded in the last 7-10 days (as has my hayfever!). I cut my grass 5 days ago and it’s already looking too long (cries)
  3. Can’t relate to our members in the East and not sorry about it First day of the year I would describe as ‘warm and humid’. Currently just shy of 17c, feels like it might rain but also might turn very sunny. Largely cloudy currently
  4. @Northernlights - Just near Annan I saw on of the dairy farms had got their first cut in. I assume they’ll aim for 5, cows will have been in all winter. Still feel this is quite early even for those farms that get so many cuts. A sure sign that summer is around the corner!
  5. Yesterday was nothing special, cloudy and fairly cool. Far better today, the sun has broken through since 2pm. The apple trees and Rhododendren tree are in full bloom. A lovely warm afternoon with the temperature sitting close to the max of 19.6c.
  6. Great video, very much underappreciated. I certainly enjoy nipping down there although my bank balance does not… Lovely afternoon and night turning nice and sunny. A late max of 16.8c.
  7. An Aberdeenshire spring sounds a bit grim tbh… Not been a good 5 days since I last posted weather wise. Tuesday or Wed was okay reaching 15.7c. Since then very cool, most days cloudy and 12c. Some decent heavy rain showers yesterday but no thunder. Today, the first of May, heard the first cuckoo singing of the year. Mainly cloudy, 13.6c. Should breach 16c today which will make a change. Last week enjoyed a quiet midweek in Buttermere:
  8. Forecast was cloudy but actually was full sunshine until about midday. Sunny spells thereafter, reached 12.8c. Not overly warm but could walk about in a t-shirt in any sun. I’m slightly sunburnt, hope things continue to warm up
  9. Not my favourite weather this… Give me last week anytime. Was up in Fife yesterday, avoided rain but pretty chilly in the wind. Some heavy showers at home. Today is not as bad as is being reported by the Northern contingent on here. Some sunshine breaking through inbetween the showers, managed to scrape up to the dizzy heights of 11c.
  10. Warmest day of the year so far despite it having clouded over a wee bit. 18.8c about 3pm. Not enthused about the incoming cold weather…
  11. Glorious last few days. Wind was still pretty fierce Wednesday so ‘only’ scraped 16c but 17c yesterday with winds a touch lighter. Today could be even better. Wall to wall blue skies, fields have now been rolled and horses rotated after the usual winter quagmire has dried up. Not as bad as some years but pretty wet at times.
  12. Chilly start to the day as was cloudy. That wind is cool but the afternoon was warm. In any shelter it’s roasting, a max of 17.4c
  13. Wasn’t a great day initially but brightened up by about 5pm, felt warm in the milky sunshine at 16.3c despite the Grey skies to the North and East.
  14. Same as above. Low of -1.2c and now sitting at 14.2c Gorgeous day, blue skies all day
  15. Yesterday was a gorgeous afternoon, won’t be accurate but car was consistently showing 14c yesterday about 4pm down in Kippford. A frosty start today has given way to a crystal clear day. Chillier, currently 10.3c but in the strong sunshine it’s very pleasant. Bring on summer
  16. Shocker of a day today i’m told, rained since midday. I was up near Bathgate and at least it was dry but pretty chilly in the wind. As I return home, Lots of flooding down here. Before today’s rain we were at 133mm for the month (20mm above the historical average - SEPA). Tuesday and Wednesday look pretty bleak…
  17. Lovely day actually (after a terribly wet and windy last 36), 12.1c and largely sunny. In any shelter that sun feels warm!
  18. Dreich, might be mild but doesn’t feel great. Constant drizzle all day, zero sun.
  19. Been a really raw afternoon, 2.5c when the rain first set in. Now up to 3.5c and grim. Whilst the milder weather is welcome, the rain isn’t. 40mm since Sunday and plenty more to come
  20. Decent extended snow shower just passed through, massive fluffy flakes at times. Can’t say winter 22/23 has been too bad here. Some good cold spells, lacking on the snowfall front but hey ho. Today has been a cracker and v cold night ahead. IMG_8123.MOV
  21. Snow clung on desperately until 6am or so but the rain had really attacked it. Now 8.6c and we had sunny spells. Really quite pleasant and daffodils all in full bloom now. However first spits of rain now being felt, next 24/36 hours are a complete write off looking at the forecast. Fingers crossed for some winter weather tomorrow evening
  22. Same here, lovely fluffy flakes. Not lying currently. Ended up with a couple centimetres on Friday morning, a shame as it snowed for around 12 hours. Yesterday was a stunning day, I do love the crystal clear skies you get with a Northerly. Was down at the coast and the lake district hills looked pretty good
  23. I concur, 0.9c now so falling pretty fast. Some surfaces are turning white. Can we clutch victory from the jaws of defeat? FullSizeRender.MOV
  24. Pretty persistent light snow here, not lying yet. Temp 1.8c and falling Hills turning white though. I think overnight, as others have said, will be the best chance. The sun is pretty strong during the day
