I just watched a forecast updated 2 hours ago and there is still mention of snow showers and disruptive snow, so not much has changed

I agree, it hasn't been that cold, there have been no ice days in London, hardly what I would consider a freeze. We got to -3 a couple of nights but even that is standard winter fair.

So it's gone from a month-long freeze to a 5-day cold snap in that thread

That would be very disappointing if, after hundreds of posts and loads of hype in this thread, we end up with 5 days of cold lol

i skimmed it just now, there was an upgrade to the downgrade which upgraded slightly but still was a downgrade when compared to the original upgrade I think that translates to cloudy 2 c patchy sleet.

Wednesday's low is heading south, it should end up in Spain eventually

as long as it is hot and sunny on the 27th of July 2024 from 1.30 pm to 8 pm, then the rest of the summer can be a shower of sheet.
