    Proper autumn morning today just 2.1c on the sandy soils of Esher common - probs some ground frost too if I was to venture out and look for it !

    Yes a real lively day weather wise 2 shots in between the storms on Esher Common skies looked more tropical than autumnal today !

    Something I am interested in is how much more rain can we have - since Tuesday we have had approx 67mm here Onthe edge of Surrey downs and with more potentially before Monday it could be a very wet 7 day period ....

    Really wet day here in Surrey several times stuck under slow moving red blobs on radar ... recorded 55mm here not sure how accurate but impressive in less than 12 hours ... surface water all around the roads slow to drain away .

    Yes proper rain event working it’s way through the south east at the moment - got the lights on at home it’s so dark still, dog walk delayed !

    Was a super day as others have already eulogised about ... great views from the top of the Painshill tower was disappointed with the shots on my I phone but you can see in the flesh beyond St George’s Hill Wembley - BT Tower the City cluster. The towers they are building in Woking are very clear though !

    Such great weather at the moment although today already feels more humid which is abut of a shame as yesterday’s dry air was like being in Southern California in winter !! Super visibility from Richmond Park yesterday... you up can just make out St Paul’s on the last pic !

    Yep can confirm mist across Esher Common this morning ...! In the Good life which I love watching there are many mentions of Esher , Cobham and even Epsom !

    been dry but cloudy and cool here its been quite a cool start to autumn so far all 3days of it !!

    gosh this is really shocking re Josh , I really know him quite well and have spent a lot of time with him , I know him through a friend in LA who I have just spoken too people are genuinely worried for his wellbeing - that said he is a tough guy who is resourceful so one has to be optimistic...

    Although it’s been undeniably very hot at times the summer as a whole has been quite unsettled down in Surrey lots of showers, windy spells and often just changeable weather. The switch to autumn has been quite pronounced here much cooler sun weakening and so much lower in the sky !!

    lovely last day of summer vibe this afternoon warm sunshine gave way to a sharp shower then a cool clearance temp a refreshing 15.8c !

    In bed all day with man flu ventured down stairs just now and was surprised how cold it felt - although might just have been the flu - huge clouds of steam coming of the pool and hot tub would suggest it’s cooled down.

    Great to see good weather for Keswick agricultural show, much maligned with poor weather on previous years - heading home and already an hour further south and east it’s up to 25c and almost no cloud - looks like it’s hot in the garden back home in Surrey around 30.5 c not as hot as Yamkins back garden though !!

    Nice to see the cloud break and there be some fine weather for the Keswick show , much maligned by poor weather in some recent previous years ..
