  1. After watching the the Parliament channel for half an hour I felt like banding my head against Brick wall so instead went for a walk around Esher Common the fungi were sublime but felt slightly challenged by the mushroom pickers which were out in force romping through the forest floor collecting everything edible in sight ... I guess it’s good that they are used but wonder about the effects on the precious ecosystem - Esher Common is a sight of special scientific interest there was also a circus skill group which had set up a tight rope across a path who were practicing there skills which was a bit bizarre !! what a day !!
  2. River mole is very high today ... if it stays dry reckon we will have dodged a bullet re flooding
  3. A nice sunny start across the region today for a lot of us - nice to see the autumn colours coming through ....
  4. Stunning non edible fungi in Esher common this morning .... I know everybody knows it but my goodness what another wet day across Surrey into central London !
  5. We still managed to have a wet morning - but was a sunny afternoon with fabulous golden light in London
  6. Earlier heavy rain has given way to very overcast dull afternoon with constant drizzle - the dullness however is contrasted with the best colours so far of the cherry tree !
  7. Certainly another wet start across the south east maybe even a bit earlier than forecast ... so much for just clipping the south east corner !
  8. It’s really soupy out there today - central heating back to the off position temp of 17 c and a dew point of 14.9c means it’s really humid feel - off upto east London for the flower market and a furniture show can’t work out it if it will rain or not ...!
  9. But maybe another rain maker coming up from the south on Monday !
  10. Above is interesting what a remarkable run of wet weather we are having in the south - those heavy pulses from the continent can be real rain makers not sure if it will be thundery but certainly one to watch ? !
  11. Well hope you still enjoy your day and all the rides are operational - it’s pretty still today it’s normally Hugh winds that plays havoc with the big rides !?
  12. Rainy season continues with gusto in Surrey this morning driving heavy rain on the dog walk - ground is really wet now standing water everywhere with no where to go - if we get an extended spell of heavy rain over weekend I am sure a few people will be using the f word ! Floods !
  13. Back from a wet Cumbria to see another 21mm fallen here in Cobham since Saturday morning - we really are stuck in a rut weather wise - wonder how long this wet season will last it’s only been 2 weeks and it seems a lot longer !!
  14. I see talk of east anglia becoming a dust bowl with the river cam drying up where maybe a tad premature!! We definitely seem to be in a wet period now the rivers are responding quicker and quicker with a shorter basin time lag - if this carries on end of October could be looking quite floody in the south east ! Currently in Keswick where it was reassuringly wet overnight but now quite dry and blustery
  15. Nice glad I didn’t rain all the time ! Literally on the M6 now heading to Keswick for a 2 day short staycation ... not raining but quite overcast just going over Shap !
  16. Dragon at Kew was looking very vibrant in the October sunshine ! Patch needed a bath after his day with Dolly Dog Daycare .!
