    Second consecutive air frost here -0.4c was surprised to see a weather warning for rain tbh - hopefully no more fireworks after tonight !?

    Yes what a lovely late autumn morning ! Went from Frosty and clear to thick fog in 90 seconds !

    Acre in the back garden in full colour seems to always be the same week of November when it turns regardless of conditions !

    Yes it’s moderately exhausting reading the mod thread already this year all the highs and lows , people alluding to them knowing something no one else does , the ubiquitous nae bad phrase , the 3 amigos all likening each other’s posts !! Yes it’s going to be a long winter one way or another ...

    I had a Saturday job at Waitrose in Daventry Northants and I remember my mum dropping me off at 7.30am for work and I think it was just raining - by 9.30 am my mum was back to pick me up before we were snowed in as we lived in a village nearby called Barby that would get cut off quite easily.

    Feels like a proper autumn storm today perhaps inland nothing too out of the ordinary - but real big gusts of wind and driving rain , reminds of the Lake District in winter !

    Up early just pulled the cover over the swimming pool was expecting it to be tricky conditions but it’s actually bright and calm here inland , 10c but pressure is low at just 972 mb ... they canx the farmers market in Walton-on-Thames because of the expected winds later !?

    Just catching up with forecasts and yes tomorrow is looking tricky - wonder if it will be named ? So often we have had more disruptive weather when the storms haven’t been named ?!!

    Very mild start to November in Surrey today very murky and misty with it ! Was like a pumpkin apocalypse at Garson’s in Esher

    ill with gastric flu today which is rather unpleasant ! Cool and grey outside waiting by the looks of it.... waiting for the dog walker to pick up patch as I won't manage a walk

    The main thing of note this morning is how dark it is - heavy mist is giving almost twilight like conditions here in the Surrey Hills .... all the lights are on at home
