  1. What a barmy February that was, sitting outside having lunch in the sun a couple of weeks ago. But today overcast and drizzly. Looking forward to Mad March. Good health to you all.
  2. Channel Low in January bringing only rain here in East Dene, climate changed dramatic. 30 years ago that would have been drifting proper snow.
  3. It feels less cold today with a slight thaw and sound of dripping, is spring around the corner? Love the snow but miss the sunshine.
  4. Some snow on and off now for the past 2 hours. Problems on the road climbing out of Eastbourne. Not as cold as last evening.
  5. Just a moderate rain now, very dull. Outdoor temp says 2c But still feels cold, time to put another log on the fire and top up the malibu.
  6. Mini warm spell in the last hour the frost has come out of the ground and we have a bit of drizzle, dramatic change since the icy start. Dull and damp weather now here.
  7. Yay, we have our first proper frost, looking forward to a crisp sunny day. Good health to you all.
  8. Nice to have some chilly weather on the run up to christmas, but im certain we will not see snow here in the south east, its been such a hot summer and warm Autumn im sure the sea temps are far too high.Good health to you all.
  9. Only 4 dats of soggy November left. Still no frost in the ground. The new climate is horrible. We always used to get cold fosty weather in November. Not anymore. Even had the lawnmower out again during the week. Good health to you all.
  10. Hi All, the climate seems to have changed so much, so fast. 19C and sunny yesterday sat in the garden for lunch. Warm again this morning with clear blue skies, apart from a very light shower half an hour ago out of the smallest cloud. Very odd. Good health to you all.
  11. Had a thunderstorm of about 1 hour duration last evening, some loud overhead cracks of thunder, and at last a drop of rain. Heavy for about 20 mins then mainly showery, not a lot, but better then nothing. Feels fresher today with a nice breeze.
  12. Big squally wind and a few raindrops , about 10 drops, Felt a tad cooler in the squall. Cloud breaking now. Only 20 per cent humidity.
  13. As its been on the warm side, the sea temps may be up a degree or two, so any marginal snow events next winter will go to rain, rather then snow. Just thought i would throw that one in the mix. Hopefully some more summer weather on the way after this heatwave breaks. Take care and good health. Time for another cool drink on the lawn.
  14. Yes it was hot, and its nice to see and feel a warm evening, we used to get a lot of balmy warm evenings and nights in the summers of 1970-1990. But we just do not seem to get so many nowdays. And heatwaves only last a day or two and then the fresher westerly breeze brings a return to cooler weather with chilly nights. Take care. Lets enjoy tomorrow.
  15. All this hype about this heatwave wow. Trust me this summer is nothing like the scorching summer of 76. We have a lot of broken cloud here this morning . Temp at the mo 19C. Have not had any rain overnight.
  16. So here we are in the middle of summer in a autumn westerly set up. Yes warm in the sun. But where is the summer Azores high. Our summers have changed so much. Take care and good health to you all.
  17. Had plenty of sunshine in between a few sleet showers. Call me old fashioned but if snow flakes fall and melt as they hit the warmer frost free ground its only sleet. Snow has to settle on frozen ground to be proper snow. Now perhaps we have had the spring northerly we may get the 18-20 spring sunshine back as we had last week, and hopefully some cracking thunderstorms in the summer months. Take care if your out on the frozen roads tonight. Cheers and good health to you all.
  18. Here we are 31st March. And had a sleet shower in Eastdene. After a whole snowless winter. When i was a teenager I Lived in Peacehaven and we had proper Snow at the end of March. One year on the Thursday before Good Friday right at the end of March we had a 2 inch fall of proper Snow . The following day, Good Friday Bright sunshine and a rapid thaw. Must have been the late 1970s. Good Health to everyone.
  19. Top of the morning to you all. the weather has burst into Spring, after a very mild night it looks to be warm again today with highs of 16C. This is so early its brillant. Looking ahead with signs of a Bartlet High developing it looks Dry and warm for the whole week ahead, chance for me to get some jobs done in the garden, followed by a snifter in the garden shed, and a doze inthe greenhouse, have a brillant week everyone and the very best of health to you all.
