  1. Me for one looking forward to warmer weather now, 10c will feel tropical, especially if we get some sunshine.
  2. Some of the snow flakes seem to be going upward, is this cos the winds fallen light, or has the world turned upside down?
  3. Yes the sun does have some strength to it now, but it will be jolly cold again tonight.
  4. Last few dancing snow flakes falling here, but the last of the snow cover is melting fast today, not much left now. It seems the flakes are saying goodbye too winter as they dance around today. Winters last shout. Still not going out, it looks jolly cold , still got icicles hnging off the shed roof. Ha Ha. Take care, good health to everyone.
  5. Top Of the morning to you all, a smashing sunny morning here in East Dene. was very windy last night, a lot of the snow has melted in the night. Looking forward to warmer days now.   6. I Would take it day by day, but each day now the sun is gaining strength, once that wind backs more to the south of East at least it will warm up some.
  7. We have had some nice sunshine, which after days of endless cloud is a treat, but the icicles and lying snow and biting east wind make me want to stay indoors in front of my roaring fire. So looking forward to the spring now. And big thunderstorms in the summer. Take care all, and jolly good health to you all.
  8. Just had a snow shower here with a real gusty east wind, blowing it all about again, after a bright start.
  9. The sun is trying too come out here, much brighter skies then yesterday. Good frost and still snow on the ground.
  10. Love this proper drifting snow, every now and then it blows straight off my back roof into the garden, time to sit in front of the roaring log fire and put the christmas lights on my Christmas tree in the back garden, my neighbour must think im nuts.
  11. Snowing proper again here blowing off the roofs and drifting in the breeze, tis will probably reach Brighton soon.
  12. Temp is right on zero here, but it looks like a slight thaw is just starting and its very dark and grey with just very light snow.
  13. I lived in Woodingdean as a child, we got very deep snow and drifts, lots of people think Brighton being on the coast escapes, but you dont have too go far inland too get the drifting snow. Enjoy and take care.
  14. Top of the winter wonderland morning to you all. We have proper powder blowing snow here in East Dene, nice too see the ground frozen, dont forget to feed the birds, poor things. Take care everyone and the very best of health to you all.
  15. It can change in a flash, we had a the sun pop out briefly, now its a winter wonderland with snow settling, your only 23 miles away.
  16. Looked up suddenly its thick snow falling, temp must have dropped.
  17. Wow the sun popped out to tease us for a few minutes. Sunset tonight is 5.02. We do not seem to have the strong winds here, some any clearing skies tonight may lead to a frost, hopefully things will dry out later this week. Take care and good health to you all.
  18. Deffo around Woodingdean, spent my childhood ther, used too get cut off for days with deep drifts and with no buses.
  19. Its still sleet here in East Dene and the flakes are getting much bigger, that means its warming up. Small flakes when its dry and cold, big flakes when it gets warmer, read that in my Ladybird book of weather when i was much younger. Hopefully it will turn drier later this week as the cold air pushes in, we have had far too much rain this winter, so looking forward to that warm spring sunshine.
