  1. It's gone very foggy again, but it's also sunny at the same time..?
  2. A brief summary here: October 2015 - a very dry and anticyclonic autumn month. Very warm at the start and end and cooler in the middle, cancelling out to a slightly warmer than average month. 3. The fog is clearing to blue skies now, and the sun is now shining brightly. The temperature is also already 11C, so assuming the cloud doesn't build later, it could be an exceptionally mild start to November.
  4. A light fog here with the glimpses of sunlight peeking through. 10C.
  5. Hi everyone, this is my first time starting a model thread. As we move into November, we are seeing quite a prolonged and warm spell of anticyclonic weather. However with the possibility of threatening the all-time November high tomorrow, will the models start hinting at the possibility of a breakdown to more Atlantic-driven weather soon? Furthermore, could we even see the first proper cold snap of the autumn/winter season this month? Continue the discussion.
  6. Wow... it's still so mild out there! 16°C at midnight, right at the very end of October is beyond remarkable!
  7. 18C here with bright sunshine. Might even squeeze a 19C too, if lucky.
  8. Very mild and breezy this morning at 16C with thick stormy clouds rushing over head. The rain stopped at about 09:00 and there's just the odd spit of rain now. Lovely!
  9. I'll settle for Central Florida to be honest. Very hot with some large and violent thunderstorms in the summer and autumn, and then warm and sunny in the winter and spring. There also the extra bonus of not having to bother learning a new language either.
  10. Bloody hell... hard to believe it's nearly November. That's a forecast that wouldn't look out of place in May.
  11. I last went to Florida in August 2013, and that was an extremely thundery month. In the 14 days that I was there, there was 16 thunderstorms. The video below is actually one of the storms that I recorded on the evening of 18 August 2013. The lightning strike at 1:38 actually knocked the power out!
  12. Over recent months and years, as my liking for snow has declined, I have found that winter has now overtaken autumn as my least favourite season. The warm spells that we've had has also helped to improve autumn for me too.
  13. The sun came out about an hour before sunset, and I managed to get this photo as I was walking home. It's just unfortunate that it's in the scruffiest part of Failsworth...
  14. Grey with low cloud and intermittent light rain. It is mild however at just over 13°C. I quite like it actually, even though I'm on a field trip.
  15. I'm a wine drinker. Nothing like a nice glass of white or red (they're both nice) on an evening. I'd love to do it tonight, with the weather being so mild, but unfortunately I don't have a bottle...
  16. Another fabulous day here, too. The morning started off with a bit of mid-level stuff, but that has cleared and left me with some fantastic sunshine. Temperatures are now up to 15C yet the sun is so low in the sky. It also feels very warm for the time of the year too.
  17. 26 October 2015 - A lovely day with some interesting afternoon clouds and a nice sunset:
  18. It's turning into a beautiful day today. Even with the breeze it feels really very pleasant out there. I thought I take the time to sit on the deck for one last time before the spring, which will probably be the next chance I'll get.
  19. It's much, much sunnier than it was forecasted to be today. The BBC had the cloud cover slowly infilling by 10:00, but I still have virtually clear skies, with the odd scattered cumulus fragments. It also looks like the temperature is going to be well-undercooked for today too. The BBC had me in for an 11C max at about 14:00, but it's already rising above 11C now.
  20. A lovely morning today. I have bright sunshine with only small fragments of cumulus clouds and a slight bit of a breeze. 8C.
  21. There's still hints of hazy sunshine coming through, but it seems like it's clouding over more and more...
  22. It's quite a seasonable day for late October today. It's 10C with hazy sunshine after a chilly morning.
  23. A very cold day today with a 10C maxima this morning. It's currently 9C with a clear night in the forecast. I think there maybe a touch of frost tomorrow.
  24. It seems like the temperatures are fluttering around 4-6C here. I know I'm quite far away from it, but I wonder if there is a bit of an influence from the Irish Sea this evening, that is helping to hold the temperatures up a bit.
