  1. Yeah Paul Hudson forecasted the weather pretty well, he also said the heavy precipitation could nudge further north into West Yorkshire, which it did. Spot on. For proper accumulations elevation was needed, simple, just 2miles from me there is hardly any snow.
  2. It's better than march, we don't have the drifting but the depth is impressive! All the trees look amazing.
  3. Evening all, roughly one foot of snow here approx 220m above sowerby bridge/triangle. It snowed very heavily from 9.30am till probably 1pm and then it snowed lightly till approx 4pm which is when it snowed heavily again. You need elevation for accumulation as in Sowerby bridge and nearby in Mirfield/Brighouse they barely have an inch whereas up here well we have buckets of it, and it's still snowing lightly.
  4. I'm literally above you, near to hubberton. The snow line is about 150m and I'm up above that with 3-4 inches of snow. I Walked up the tops close by today, up crow hill and along the moors.
  5. Nice moderate then light snow on and off from around lunchtime today, up here in the Pennines near Halifax.
  6. Similar here pennine, moderate snow on and off. A nice covering, I'm approx 250m. No or little snow lower down.
  7. Well it snowed somewhere near here in border parts of west yorks, I can see through towards the hills above todmorden and it looks white over, just a sprinkling here on a couple of occasions this past week. Obviously it has gone with today's rain !
  8. It was snowing for a time here but turned back to sleet, I think at about 300m it's all snow.
  9. A very very heavy snow shower in Sowerby bridge earlier, a thin covering of snow up here but down in Sowerby bridge itself it was just wet snow.
  10. Just to give you all some hope we have just had a light sleety snow shower.
  11. The wind has been pretty relentless since yesterday up here. And then the rain came and has been even more relentless since! All it means is i can't do outdoor jobs and my wife has me painting the kitchen and waxing all the cupboards instead. So win win for her.
  12. In Halifax yesterday there was wet snow in the heavier bursts. You had to go 350m and above to see some briefly settling snow. That was up withens.
  13. Pointless greybing, even at nigh on 1000ft the snow ain't sticking.
  14. Now snowing fairly moderately, pretty chunky flakes.
  15. J lang i must be up the hill from you. Everything is melting slowly now it is too wet and a tad too mild, not really doing much out atm. Drizzling even. I'm in between Sowerby and soyland up on a hill somewhere. Approx 250m.
  16. Finally snowing, it's been a long wait for snow this winter. Nothing heavy but snow at least.
  17. A lot of hefty hail showers up here, it's all white over at least!
