Really frigid temperatures overnight. I run a bakery, the ovens are loaded and it's -6/-7 outside. A really hard frost, really beautiful. The weather has been superb the last few days, a little snow and plenty of sunshine and very cold. Perfect! Hopefully a little snow in The Pennines tonight/tomorrow, but we'll see what we get. I'm flagging a race in Mytholmroyd later, so I know it'll be tough getting the flags in the ground later.

We had light snow for a while yesterday afternoon, then heavy until i last looked out at 9pm with a temp of 0.7c….I’ve just got up now, wind direction changed and dry and now it’s 4.6c The snow has been great fun, the drifting spectacular as often seems to be the case with these March snowfalls. Lets see what Tuesday may bring!

We usually do well in the South Pennines with the snow and it seems we’re going to get lots of it tomorrow! Perfect! (So long as i can deliver my bread) -
I don’t post much here, but I do read what’s going on. Close to Ripponden in the South Pennines we have had snow laying since last Tuesday, it’s all pretty much melted today. We had good drifting on the moors and reasonable coverage with little melt in the valley bottoms. Not bad so far, nearly 2 weeks of laying snow overall!
